The Inn at I'On a seven room Boutique Inn. The Jacob Bond House is a "French Quarter" style stucco carriage house complete with a beautiful walled courtyard with fountian, wrought iron gates, balconies and all the charm of a bit of New Orleans right here in Charleston. Located right across the street from the main Inn it features 4 separate rooms one of which is a 2 1/2 room suite. The Inn is located in the award winning I'on community in Mt Pleasant SC only seven minutes from historic downtown Charleston and ten minutes from the beaches of Sullivans Island and Isle of Palms. Although the look and feel of the Inn will remind you of an Inn that is decades old the building has just been completed in 2009. Unlike most small intimate boutique Inns where you sacrifice amenities for charm rest assured this is not the case at the Inn at I'On. Complimentary full service gourmet breakfast is included with your room Tues thru Sunday, there is no breakfast served on Monday. Preferred seating in the dining room for dinner is also available. Our Inn guests are also members for the day at the private I'On Club featuring three swimming pools, seven lighted clay tennis courts, fitness center, club house and many special services.

My husband and I stayed here the night before our cruise to the Bahamas. The room was beautiful and relaxing. It was also quite large. The fireplace was perfect. I just loved the atmosphere here and the pub across the street was great too. I would definitely recommend this place. 11/10 :)

Our first stay was very nice. We stayed in room 3 on the second floor that faced the street with a pleasant porch. Breakfast was excellent. Overall a great place to stay and we will be back.

We have family living in I'On and the Inn is very convenient when visiting. The staff are very courteous and responsive. The Inn is small and charming. The cancellation policy is restrictive and needs to be in line with similiar Inns in Charleston.

I have only stayed at a few Bed and Breakfast locations but The Inn at Ion exceeded my expectations. The staff was courteous and informative. From the front door through to the porch off of the room, this place was immaculate as far as cleanliness. My Mom was a domestic worker so I have always been particular about noticing these things. I also travel for a living so I stay in a lot of hotels. This was a wonderful place to stay and the bed very comfortable. When I originally read the reviews and customers made comments about the street noise I was a little worried but upon my stay I found it did not bother me at all. It is a great place to stay away from the hustle and bustle. To the staff, thank you for making my stay a great experience.

This place is truly the best kept secret in Charelston! I found it on line while researching places to stay for a September wedding. I just didn't want to stay at a chain hotel and found the Inn at I'on randomly and took a chance. I even talked another couple into taking a chance, too. Boy... am I ever glad we did. I will never forget this place, and neither will my friends. I can still taste Fernando's (their chef) breakfast shrimp and grits and his cherizo, pepper and egg wraps...mmmm. Mike and his staff provided friendly, curtious service. An evening glass of wine in the rocking chairs on our deck off our room.priceless. I could go on (and on) but I'll let you go make your reservation and find out for yourself! Ps the neighborhood is amazing...walk around shopping, and don't miss the Irish pub across the street and the Belgian Gelato place a couple of blocks away!! I
