The Inn at I'On a seven room Boutique Inn. The Jacob Bond House is a "French Quarter" style stucco carriage house complete with a beautiful walled courtyard with fountian, wrought iron gates, balconies and all the charm of a bit of New Orleans right here in Charleston. Located right across the street from the main Inn it features 4 separate rooms one of which is a 2 1/2 room suite. The Inn is located in the award winning I'on community in Mt Pleasant SC only seven minutes from historic downtown Charleston and ten minutes from the beaches of Sullivans Island and Isle of Palms. Although the look and feel of the Inn will remind you of an Inn that is decades old the building has just been completed in 2009. Unlike most small intimate boutique Inns where you sacrifice amenities for charm rest assured this is not the case at the Inn at I'On. Complimentary full service gourmet breakfast is included with your room Tues thru Sunday, there is no breakfast served on Monday. Preferred seating in the dining room for dinner is also available. Our Inn guests are also members for the day at the private I'On Club featuring three swimming pools, seven lighted clay tennis courts, fitness center, club house and many special services.

I was very impressed with the room. It was very clean and made you feel as though you were at home. Also, the cost was inexpensive. A rare combination.

I recently stayed at the Inn. Everything was on point. Our room was perfect, the fireplace and rocking chair balcony were divine. Breakfast was so delicious. I'll definitely stay here when I'm in Charleston! I may just plan a trip to Charleston to stay there.

It was like walking onto a movie set! The small town is very clean and inviting. Close to Charleston and a super place on the water to eat located at Shems Creek area. Breakfast menu to choose the night before has many options. Breakfast is served at the Inn. We stayed in room 9 across from the inn that was restored beautifully. The price was right and we would recommend this B&B inn. York, PA

We love this Inn. Great atmosphere, old South Charm and lovely streets to walk. The breakfast is very good. Service is great. We would like the staff to clean the floors better. No one wants to walk on other peoples hairs and dirt. The only problem other than the floors we have had was on our last visit when someone pounded on all of the room doors for almost 2 hours in the middle of the night. We suspect it was a drunk customer who could not remember his room number. We will be returning.

Not a bad stay. Floor was tile so a bit cold. You could hear people walking in room above us. My credit card was charged 12 days before our stay. I was surprised about that. Typically I expect the charge to post on my card the day of departure.
As with most bed and breakfast inns we do charge a deposit at the time you book your reservation. That deposit is normally 50% unless as in your case where you only booked for one night then the deposit is the full amount of your stay......rooms 8 and 9 are the only rooms that have tile floors however there is also a very plush 9ft by 12ft oriental rug in those rooms as well. The other 9 rooms all have rustic oak hardwood floors and 9ft by 12ft plush oriental rugs.....

Everything was great a the Inn.....except the noise from other rooms and the hallway.
Thank you for your feedback about your stay...We are a small Inn so the rooms are close together but because all our interior walls have 6 inches of spray foam insulation we very seldom get noise complaints...it "sounds" to me that you may have had a guest in an adjacent room that was being excessively loud and they disrupted your stay...this does not happen very often but if and when it does our staff or myself are available at any time to speak to that guest/room to quiet them down....we even go a step further with our guest check in paperwork that all guests sign at check in which states "any noise or behavior that is disruptive to other guests will result in a damage fee of $250.00 or the total cost of any rooms that choose to depart due to that disruptive noise or behavior"...We take this issue very seriously and as such have very few situations like you experienced....I am sure had we been informed about the noise we could have handled it to your satisfaction... Thank You Mike Russo

Ion is a superb luxury Inn, both comfortable and welcoming. We have stayed 6 times at different periods of the year. For longer durations while in Charleston and also just for a night when driving from our home in Connecticut to Florida. Fantastic value for money and a superb location.......

My fiance and I stayed at The Inn at Ion as it was close to Charleston, looked gorgeous, updated and clean and was a great value - all of these reasons were 100% verified upon our visit. We would most definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. A hidden gem!

We stayed at i'on for a little weekend getaway and it was fantastic. The room was gorgeous and the bed was so comfortable we wanted to just snuggle up in it for the whole weekend. We will definitely be back for sure!
