The Inn at I'On a seven room Boutique Inn. The Jacob Bond House is a "French Quarter" style stucco carriage house complete with a beautiful walled courtyard with fountian, wrought iron gates, balconies and all the charm of a bit of New Orleans right here in Charleston. Located right across the street from the main Inn it features 4 separate rooms one of which is a 2 1/2 room suite. The Inn is located in the award winning I'on community in Mt Pleasant SC only seven minutes from historic downtown Charleston and ten minutes from the beaches of Sullivans Island and Isle of Palms. Although the look and feel of the Inn will remind you of an Inn that is decades old the building has just been completed in 2009. Unlike most small intimate boutique Inns where you sacrifice amenities for charm rest assured this is not the case at the Inn at I'On. Complimentary full service gourmet breakfast is included with your room Tues thru Sunday, there is no breakfast served on Monday. Preferred seating in the dining room for dinner is also available. Our Inn guests are also members for the day at the private I'On Club featuring three swimming pools, seven lighted clay tennis courts, fitness center, club house and many special services.

Charming location in Mount Pleasant

Nice Inn in a planned community that seems older than it is. Beautiful rooms and porches, but wished there was a common room to hang out with traveling companions (rooms were too small and too cold for porches!) A few small things were overlooked: tea bags as well as coffee in the rooms, a list of breakfast places for Monday mornings when it's not provided. An enhancement to this situation would be to offer a self-service breakfast bar of granola/ fruit/ beverages on Mondays - all these are on the menu and would have been greatly appreciated!

We loved this Inn, the service at check in was great, the room was amazing, the breakfast was awesome, however the service at breakfast and check out were the best but over all we loved it!

Nice place to stay for a couple. Set in an upscale large neighborhood, very easy to reach downtown from there. The best part was the very large room and porch.

We're flying down from Connecticut on a regular basis to visit our new granddaughter, Masie. The Inn at Ion is perfectly located to accommodate our visits. We have found no other arrangements to compete. The service is friendly and helpful, the complimentary breakfast delicious and overall ambiance delightful. We'll be back again and again!

After trying to find a decent hotel in Charleston for less than $450 a night, we found Inn on I'On. And what a find it was! After a little initial frustration with the check-in time, everything was great! (If you need to check in later than 9pm, be sure to give them plenty of advance notice; we had to miss dinner reservations with friends in order to get to the Inn before check-in time closed. They were inflexible on this even with four hours notice.) We stayed in The Jacob Bond House, room 11. It was large, very clean, and the bed was fantastic! Our room looked out into a cute little courtyard. The Inn was very quiet and cozy. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The location of the Inn is great-close to downtown, and accessible to everything, yet tucked away far enough to be nice and quiet and relaxing. We will definitely be staying at The Inn, again.

Comfortable, clean, convenient. 15 minutes from downtown, almost the same to Isle of Palms. Ion is a planned community, but has small-town personality. Great coffee shop across the street, good Irish bar next door.

The Inn at the Ion is a great place with a very nice location. We stayed for about a week and had easy access to many of the great Charleston tourist destinations and wonderful restaurants. The breakfasts at the Inn left a little something to be desired, but overall a great stay and would highly recommend!
