The Inn at I'On a seven room Boutique Inn as well as a 100 seat full service restaurant and bar. The Jacob Bond House is a "French Quarter" style stucco carriage house complete with a beautiful walled courtyard with fountian, wrought iron gates, balconies and all the charm of a bit of New Orleans right here in Charleston. Located right across the street from the main Inn it features 4 separate rooms one of which is a 2 1/2 room suite. The Inn is located in the award winning I'on community in Mt Pleasant SC only seven minutes from historic downtown Charleston and ten minutes from the beaches of Sullivans Island and Isle of Palms. Although the look and feel of the Inn will remind you of an Inn that is decades old the building has just been completed in 2009. Unlike most small intimate boutique Inns where you sacrifice amenities for charm rest assured this is not the case at the Inn at I'On. With our on site restaurant, Carter's Kitchen featuring the food of Charleston Celebrity Chef Robert Carter, you have several dining options without leaving the property. Complimentary full service gourmet breakfast is included with your room Tues thru Sunday, there is no breakfast served on Monday. Preferred seating in the dining room for dinner is also available. Our Inn guests are also members for the day at the private I'On Club featuring three swimming pools, seven lighted clay tennis courts, fitness center, club house and many special services.

The room was outstanding! The morning breakfast hours are a little tight, I'd prefer to have breakfast start at 7am. Also, getting in contact with the front desk is difficult. However, our stay was great and breakfast far exceeded my expectations.

I stayed at the Inn for only one night and there was no breakfast served on Monday mornings, so I am unable to review the dining. However, the Inn and my room, in particular, were absolutely lovely. No hokey B&B decor. Beautiful designs, bed linens and a superbly outfitted bathroom. I cannot wait to return!

Great stay. Nothing like being in town on business and staying at a location that feels like a 5 star resort.

We staid at this B&B for 3 nights and we had a good experience. The breakfast was nice but the choices were limited.
Thank you for your input...We are a small Inn who serves breakfast only to the guests of our 11 rooms...We offer a breakfast daily that includes Cooked to order omelettes, eggs scrambled, fried, poached or over easy, orange infused french toast, Belgium waffles, breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, Fried Chicken and Waffles, Shrimp and Grits, Oatmeal, Granola,Breakfast Bowls with homefries, eggs, cheese sausage and country ham, Fresh Fruit and yogurt bowls...all this is available on a daily basis....We feel this is a very varied breakfast menu for a small Inn however we always remain open to new menu suggestions....

Our stay at the Inn at Ion was disappointing on several levels. While the room itself was very comfortable, the fan in the bathroom was completely inadequate. Because of this, everything IN the bathroom became covered in heavy condensation after one shower of average length.. The shower itself was very nice though. Also, there was old coffee in our pot. We purposefully left our "Do Not Disturb" sign outside our door, so were quite dismayed to return and find the room had been straightened, and the bed made! "Do Not Disturb" should NEVER be violated by the staff unless there is an emergency! Because of this, we felt our privacy was violated. The breakfast was good, except for the seasonal fruit which had obviously sat too long and was becoming fermented! And lastly, as we were departing, the man at the desk barely acknowledged us, and didn't seem to care if we ever came back. This by the apparent proprietor of the establishment! So all in all, we were not left with a favorable impression, the desire to repeat the experience, or that we were viewed as valued customers. While the fan, food and lack of friendliness were disappointing, the fact that our room was attended to even though the "Do Not Disturb" sign was clearly in view was very unsettling and inexcusable. One should never have to be concerned about their privacy being violated in such a place.

My husband and I have been staying in bed and breakfasts and inns for almost 36 years. The Inn at Ion was one of the most beautiful and most immaculate inns we ever had the pleasure to visit. Additionally, the staff could not have been nicer. We loved everything about our stay, from the rooms, the excellent breakfasts, the staff, and the great advise on restaurants and places to visit in the area. We would highly recommend this inn to anyone, even the most particular travelers.

This Inn was in a very nice neighborhood and in a great location for our visit to Charleston. The room was nicely decorated and the bathroom was a good size. The breakfast was adequate.

Room was large, felt very spacious, and was very clean. The inn was a short drive away from downtown Charleston, but far enough out of the way that it was quiet and not over-populated with tourists. Loved the older feel of the place, but since it was recently built, I appreciated the up-to-date plumbing and electricity! Will surely stay here again the next time I visit. DID NOT DINE AT THE INN; COULD NOT FAIRLY RATE.
