"We stayed at the Albion Manor for 6 nights. The room of our choice was not available for the whole stay, so we stayed in one room for 3 nights and another for 3 nights. It gave us a great perspective. First, communications were excellent. Our inquiries as to how to get to the B & B (3+ hour bus, then ferry, then bus trek from Vancouver airport), what was the best whale watching experience and suggestions for restaurants were all handled perfectly. We had no surprises, which is exactly what you want. Then the B & B itself is true Victorian eclectic. Some might call it fussy. Others might say it's cluttered. We, on the other hand, found the various works of art throughout the house to be perfect for a home of this era. From Fernando's whimsical pieces (do not miss his fat man sitting on a stack of cheeseburgers), to the photos of fake relatives, to the beautiful paintings and prints to the glass and sculpture and furniture, it was all over-the-top Victorian. The food was terrific. My favorite was the ricotta stuffed lemon pancakes. All dishes delighted us. On our final day we needed to leave before breakfast and Don very graciously made us "to go" bags with yogurt, fruit, juice, blueberry scone (with Fernando's Orange marmalade spread on it) and a caramel candy treat. Great coffee, wonderful tea. Lovely place settings. Really, really nice. Don is the cook and Fernando is the server. As to the rooms: first we stayed in room 4 which was a large room with a small kitchenette. Very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The 2nd 3 nights was in room 8. When we return I will want that room for sure. It was very tastefully decorated, comfortable, with a shower and a double jacuzzi tub, plus, we were the first guests to enjoy the new waterfall and garden just below the private porch for room 8. I could have sat on that porch for hours. Many guests we spoke with were repeats. No wonder about that: it truly is an exceptional experience. Thanks guys! "
