Perfect romantic spot for a 50th birthday celebration weekend!

5 on May 11, 2015

Amazing home where we were welcomed immediately. Evelyn and her husband are two of the sweetest people we have met. Our room was so beautiful and the view from our balcony was perfect. We had outstanding breakfast every morning. Homemade pastries, best coffee I've tasted and we were surprised each morning with something new and delicious to eat. We can not wait to go back for another visit. Newport, RI and The Almondy is a must on everyone's bucket list! See you again soon, Carl Lichti & Janine Dambrosio

Our three nights in Newport were made ultra comfortable and rewarding by Evelyne and her staff. The wine and cheese from 5pm to 6pm is a must. It is a great way to visit with other guests, and Evelyne was always there with her friendly advice and wonderful stories. Her breakfasts were devine. Definitely recommend!

An excellent stay in a beautiful turn of the century house near the waterfront in Newport. Friendly and welcoming host, and breakfasts enhanced by conversation with interesting fellow guests

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Almondy Inn. Evelyn is a wonderful hostess and we had a delicious breakfast each day. The Inn is convenient and within walking distance to restaurants etc. We would recommend staying here.

Great Stay at Almondy

We had a wonderful stay at the Almondy in Newport. We were there for a week in mid-September. We had a great time. The room was very nice. The breakfasts were outstanding. We were in the Lanai Suite which had a small balcony with a view of the harbor. The location was great. It's close to everything on Thames Street and the harbor.

A delightful week in a wonderful B & B

5 on October 13, 2014

This B & B was so lovely. We stayed in the Burgandy suite on the first floor. It was wonderful, cozy, peaceful and quiet. Breakfasts are amazing. Always a couple of kinds of pastries, lots of cut up fresh fruit, and a wonderful assortment of egg dishes. The proprietors are friendly and helpful. The inn is about 1 1/2 blocks from downtown on the waterfront. A great, convenient location! If we visit Newport again, we will certainly plan to stay there again.

Wonderful stay at the Almondy Inn

Our room was small, but beautiful with a magnificent view of the habor. Evelyne was a gracious hostess, and very interesting to talk with. She gave us many suggestions for our stay. We definitely will come back to the Almondy when we return to Newport!

Best Place To Stay!!

Repeat customers for 5 years! Great, I mean great social appreciated and owner conversation is engaging.... Great everything!

good-enough value

3.6 on August 09, 2014

Newport is extremely expensive, so the high price of the Almondy Inn was in fact quite reasonable. Excellent location. Rooms are small, but that is to be expected in an old house. Newer bathroom fixtures would improve the rooms a lot. Very good breakfast. Charming hostess - discreet, and a good reader of people's desire for sociability (or not).

Welcoming and conveniently located B&B

3.4 on August 07, 2014

Although our stay was very brief, we found Almondy Inn very homely and our hosts, Evelyne and Herber most welcoming and helpful. Their restaurant recommendation was great, I don't think we would have stumbled on it due to it's location upstairs. Almondy Inn is very conveniently located, an easy stroll to shops and restaurants, it is very clean and has comfortable beds (except the bedpost is in the way of the television screen). Great place to stay.
