What an awesome Gem... Murray Bed & Breakfast! We just completed a wonderful four days of celebrating our wedding anniversary at Murray B&B. Noreen the owner is filled with hospitality and decor. We stayed in the Pool Side Room, where detail caught your eye on every turn. Very clean and peaceful. We loved the BYOB (bring your own breakfast) deal. All shopping is available in town and it felt more like home, The Murray House is conveniently located in the Mansion District within walking distance to the Breakers, Rosecliff, Marble House and more. Also it's walking distance to the waterfront as we'll. A walker, jogger, biker riders paradise. The beautiful details Noreen placed on Murray House is seen inside and outside clean, neat and organized. In our room we enjoyed the jacuzzi tub, electric fireplace, kitchenette, breakfast nook and the romantic decor is very nice. We will definitely return soon and highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Great quality at a great price! Thank you Noreen ...we'll be back¿¿ Rodney & Renee Long Island

Newport is a treasure. Historical touches Modern, Sun teases Shade, Tickle of tides contrast an itch of excitement and nightlife. yet to find, you have to look. Venture steps away from the gilt of the mansions into a quiet neighborhood, It is here you will find Murray House. Sunset reflects off of Almy Pond, the call of the ocean it's backdrop, an "on leash" dog friendly park with historical arboretum is a short two blocks away, and a wiggly your toes in the sand beach, a meer towels drag down to the end of the road. Gardens bloom with delights, their scents tease and invoke a sense of relaxation. The sparkling pool invites, a "couple" hot tub bubbles. Themed rooms are cozy and comfortable...each with it's own private entrance, kitchenette, and bathroom and a "there if you really must" television. Breakfasts are served to your door in the Summer months, and for those who have an explorers soul off season it is a BYOB (breakfast). There is so much to discover in Newport, while downtown entices with shops and "busy", it is the true gems hidden around every nook turn and corner that makes Newport an Explorers destination. Murray house is the perfect base from which to start..and at the end of your day, when you return with sandy toes, souvenirs to hold or just a smile only a good vacation can bring...the light will shining brightly, welcoming you "home".

We discovered the Murray House a couple of years ago and have returned every year since. We travel with our Pomeranian so we require dog friendly accommodations. But I would recommend MH for all travelers. The location is fantastic, the rooms are all very private and clean, the grounds are beautiful and Noreen is always pleasure. The property is in walking distance to a lovely beach as well as the Cliff Walk and Ocean Drive. What we really appreciate is the fenced in yard with such beautiful grounds- including a koi fish pond and peaceful sitting areas. In addition, there is a welcoming pool if you had enough of the beach. I cannot mention the MH without adding that Noreen does a phenomenal job as hostess. If you have any questions or need any travel advice, she is always eager to help. Prior to your stay she will send you all sorts of information about Newport: where to eat, places to go, things to do. For the dog owners, she will also include area information on dog parks, dog friendly locations and dog etiquette pertaining to Newport. The MH is the kind of pet friendly place you wish you came across more often. Regardless if you bring your dog or not, Noreen will make you feel welcome at all times. She goes above and beyond for her guests and her personal touches truly make the MH stand out above all the rest. The Murray House provides the perfect home base for us while in Newport. We always look forward to our stay and Noreen remembers us (and Jazmine) each and every time. We love everything about the MH: the charming rooms, the intimate setting, the ideal location and of course Noreen. This is our home away from home in Newport and we plan to make many return trips in the future.

Murray House feels more like our Newport vacation home than a bed and breakfast. My boyfriend and I stay here at least twice a year and we couldn't be happier. Noreen, the innkeeper is an absolute doll! She treats us (and not to mention our chihuahua Millie, like family). She always has a special treat waiting for us after our long ride from Brooklyn, N.Y. She is the best! The rooms are cozy and super clean and the location is out of the way from the busy part of town. If you stay in the Summer the pool and the garden are pure Heaven! If you are looking for a pet friendly, clean place to stay with a gem of an innkeeper look no further! Murray House is the place to stay!
