We enjoyed the non-stuffy atmosphere of this B & B. Dave was fantastic--friendly, helpful, accommodating, and made great breakfasts (and chocolate chip cookies!). The location was good for us--in colder, rainy or extra hot weather, we'd probably want a car, but the weather was perfect when we visited so we walked and biked it. It was our third visit to Block Island. During our first two visits we stayed at the Spring House Hotel. We definitely preferred the Island Home Inn and would definitely stay again.

We got in earlier than expected and not only was our room ready but Dave, the host, invited us to sit down and have breakfast. The Inn is located close enough to town to walk (we did have our car) but far enough away not to have the noise factor. Not only was the breakfast good and varied from day to day but at 5:30 p.m. each night there was wine and appetizers. Also, having a grill and access to a shared kitchen was a bonus. Would definitely return. My only complaint is that I sent two emails and left two phone messages prior to going and they were never returned.

We had a wonderful stay with our two boys at the Island Home Inn! The owner, Dave, was friendly and an excellent source about what to see, where to visit and fish in the area. Our breakfast was fantastic and the rooms were spotless and very welcoming. We can't wait to go back!!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Island Home Inn. The breakfast each morning was excellent! We especially appreciated our air conditioned room. The location of the Inn was perfect to go everywhere. Our only issue would be that the owners are not very good at returning or replying to emails and phone calls.

I must begin by saying that the Inn is situated with easy access to the beaches and markets on the island. Our room, the Cherry Blossom room, has a deck that offered panoramic views of the harbor set to amazing sunsets. Where to start...maybe the oven fresh chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon for starters. The owner David was as friendly an Inn keeper as I have had the pleasure to meet. I hope to stay again next summer and would highly recommend this oasis as a great option on BI.

I loved my room and the staff was exceedingly friendly. Guests were also friendly and I met some interesting people at breakfast and at the wine and cheese hour. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed only for one night for my parents 50th wedding anniversary, had a wonderful time. Innkeeper was very laid back and friendly. Room was everything we expected and more. Great breakfast and hourdervs the night before, nice touch! They even had live piano music in the parlor. Great location close walk to town and marina. We will definitely return.

We came here from Italy for one night in Block Island during our US vacation trip. We had an amazing stay at Home Island Inn. Dave made us feel at home and the afternoon glass of wine with other guests was really the icing on the cake.

The Island Home Inn is an easy walk to downtown and close to restaurants and bike rentals. It's wonderful to have breakfast on the porch and the food is quite good. The owner is new and very nice and attentive to guests staying at the Inn. Some of the rugs need to be ripped up and replaced but the rooms were clean and comfy. We would definitely stay at the Island Home Inn again.
