The Haddie Pierce House

We are repeat visitors to this fantastic location. Walk to beach, kayaking and picturesque village & shops. Clean and neat-as-a-pin! Casual vibe and oh-so-comfortable bed. Darya is a wonderful hostess and a fabulous cook. Each morning we were greeted with a pot of rich & aromatic coffee, a bowl of fresh fruit and home baked goodies to go with our creamy and delicious omelets and cooked-to-perfection blueberry pancakes. Looking forward to our next ocean break at the Haddie Pierce House!

We had an absolutely delightful stay ! The food and comfort was only outdone by the warm reception by Darya and John.All raves - make it your choice !

Great place to get away and relax. There is a nice quiet beach just a 5 minute walk away. Small town area to shop in walking distance also, or jump in the car for a short drive to big beaches and restaurants. Nice clean rooms and great service. I'll definitely be back.

Had a comfortable time at Haddie Pierce with beautiful surroundings, cozy rooms, and great breakfast (ask for the peach baked french toast!!).

We required last minute lodging in order to attend an out of town funeral. We were delighted to find a room available at this establishment. Perfect location for us. Delightful setting and a most hospitable hostess. Room and amenities met all of our expectations. An early rise and breakfast were graciously provided in order for our arrival to early morning services. The homemade sweet breads and fruit were tasty and plentiful and the french toast perfection. We were sorry that we could not stay for a more leisurely visit. The facility has many comfortable rooms on the main floor for reading and down time along with a cozy porch for outside conversation and refreshments. 24 hour availability to water, soda, tea, coffee and cookies was a pleasant addition.

Haddie Pierce House is a 1906 building well maintained and furnished. Rooms are very clean and everything you can think of is provided. Darya is friendly and efficient, and her breakfasts are simply EXCELLENT. Wickford is a cute small town, right on the bay, kayaks for rent, some interesting shopping. It's a great central location, near the beaches and the bridge to Newport, not far from the airport or Providence.

The Inn is very quiet and has nice early 20th century period furniture in it. I like the short walk to the beach.

Room was very comfortable ( Doll Room) and quiet. My request for gluten free food was deliciously acknowledged with fresh muffins for breakfast! We were there for only one night, but expect it would have continued to be a great experience had we stayed longer.

The breakfasts were fabulous and fellow guests were genial and interesting. Couldn't have been a better experience. Thanks, Darya and John!

We spent six nights at the Haddie Pierce House. The accomodation is superb as are the breakfasts. The propiortor was charming and extemely helpful suggesting places to visit and supplying literature. A most enjoyable stay and would thoroughly reccomend. Robert & Cheryl

The Haddie Pierce House is a jewel. Always feel welcome. Rooms are nicely decorated, cozy and comfortable. Shower's great! Grounds are well kept and depending on the season, hydrangea blooms abound. And, of course the food is delightfully yummy. It doesn't hurt that its location is such that you can walk to the bay or to the village shops.

Wickford, R. I. is one of the most appealing of all the coastal New England towns with excellent shopping, enjoyable restaurants, and a particularly impressive number of fine 18th and early 19th century houses. The Haddie Pierce House is a fine place to stay, within walking distance of everything. Darya is a most gracious hostess. It's a welcome respite from urban and suburban pressures.

Our stay at the Haddie Pierce House was truely a wonderful experience. Wickford village is an easy wlak from the B&B and that makes for an enjoyable dinner. Breakfast was excellent - fruit, breads, coffee/tea and the main course - waffles one day and eggs the next.

We had a delightful stay at the Haddie Pierce B&B. A wonderful beach with great views and the village of Wickford each just a short walk. The Lilac Room w/private bath was just right and the porch at the front of the house had both sun and shade, with comfortable wicker chairs for reading and talking. Cheryl was a great hostess, breakfasts were tasty, and we would return with pleasure.

Originally, the room we had chosen online had a private bath but it was across the hall and not within the room. We appreciated the fact that the hostess was willing to switch us to one which had a private bath within the bedroom. Breakfast was scrumptious. Enjoyed the stroll on the nearby beach and downtown Wickford shops.

We stayed at The Haddie Pierce House during the arrival of Hurricane Irene. Although the area and Inn had no electricity the Innkeeper made us feel comfortable and the breakfast was delicious... she had gas instead of electricity.

Wonderful, heartwarming home and a full, welcoming breakfast to start each lovely day. We will definately re-visit the Haddie Pierce House.

My husband and I thought the Haddie Pierce House was very quaint. Darya was very sociable and was able to offer us suggestions on what was good to see in the area and where to have dinner. The breakfasts were delicious. We would go back again on our next trip to Rhode Island

There was a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. We loved the location,close to the beach and shopping. The breakfasts were thw best we have ever had at a bed and breakfast.

I met my Vermont family there for two nights of enjoying Rhode Island. Darya gave us good advice about where to eat and how to get there. She also was more than helpful in providing a slightly different breakfast for my daughter who has severe reactions to eggs etc.

Our stay at HPH was short but sweet. The location was great and we were pleasantly greeted as soon as we arrived. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Our hostess was extremely accommodating because we have to leave early the next day and prepared breakfast earlier that morning so we could leave with full stomachs. I would definitely recommend this B&B to others visiting Wickford, RI.

First stay at a b&b, would definitely go here again. Not true that only one room has it's own bath. Read the website, or book from other sites for proof. Food awesome site seeing great. Good shopping downtown. Her restaurant suggestions were right on too. Great hospitality not sterile like a hotel. AAA

We booked two rooms (one queen size for we parents; one with two twins for our teens). The accommodations were very clean; and very attractive. The breakfast was delicious. Our host was very kind and informative. The Haddie Pierce House is nicely located; walking distance to a beach and to Wickford Village. It is also a short driving distance to the Martha's Vineyard ferry. We will stay again in the future.

A charming home with a charming hostess. The Innkeeper was not only friendly but was very knowledgeable in everything there was to do in the area. She had wonderful suggestions. The atmosphere of the Inn was friendly, very picturesque, and super clean. The breakfasts were wonderful. Plenty to eat and varied each day.

Very warm & cozy experience. Darya went out of her way to accommodate me & our group -- 7 other family and friends were staying at Haddie's -- we all felt special. Breakfasts were great.

expectations were for everyone to sit together in the am for breakfast, we are more on the go types and prefer to grab java and a muffin... but can't say enough about the location, 5min walk to town beach or into town for shops and dining...

Good points: Wickford is a small but very nice town right on the water. There are small rivers passing through town and a lovely bay beach park within a 6 minute walk of the House. Wickford is a good location from which to visit Newport (very easy 25 min. drive) without the high Newport accomodation prices and is also close to the southern Rhode Island coast. The Haddie Pierce House itself is lovely and very comfortable with a nice yard, front porch and on-site parking. The rooms are very nice and the bathrooms are clean. Areas for improvement: Only one room has an actual attached bathroom. The others are down the hall, but with a separate bathroom for each room. The breakfasts were a disappointment. With all of the recipes on the Haddie Pierce website, we were anticipating more. The noise of the road in front of the house is distracting from the overall rural setting but it settles down in the evening.

Wickford is a lovely little town. Haddie Pierce House has a great location near the town beach and the town center. Innkeeper Darya is a gracious host. Her breakfasts are tailored to your dietery needs. The rooms and house were very comfortable.

My first stay at the Haddie Pierce House Bed & Breakfast was an absolute delight! In Rhode Island for a business meeting, I booked accommodations for the duration of the meeting at the Haddie Pierce House—and was so happy there that I extended my stay through the weekend. As a woman often travelling alone, it’s important that I feel safe and secure when spending the night anywhere. Darya and John provide an environment that not only meets that criterion, but that is also friendly and welcoming. They are gracious, helpful hosts, who maintain an impeccably neat and clean home. The breakfasts are varied and delicious, the antique Victorian décor charming, and the rooms comfortable and well appointed. A short walk to Wickford’s town beach and quaint village shops, the HPH is only a short drive to Newport. Over the years, I continue to make return visits, and enthusiastically recommend this B&B to family and friends.

The good innkeepers were wonderful as I spent a week in this delightful B&B while I was working. The home is warm and perfectly kept. I was able to walk to Wickford Village and the waterfront easily. Darya was always available with a smile and help when I needed it. And the resident Lab and kitty made it even more fun. I'll be back.

We really enjoyed the stay and the location was great not too far outside of Newport. The breakfasts were great and a very nice porch outside to sit and relax.

As first time bed & breakfast guests, we were extremely pleased with our entire 4 night stay. The atmosphere was outstanding with Victorian furniture and antiques galore. Accommodations were superb. Rooms were immaculate and a full homemade, delicious breakfast was served daily.

the furnishings are Victorian/New England and each themed room is exquisite. The morning breakfast menu is ever changing and uniquely charming -- homemade and hearty for the day's adventures!

We visited H.P.H. while my husband presented a talk about his photography book "Good Fences" in R.I. The hosts very soon became friends -- helpful friends, too! Lodging was lovely -- very Victorian. Only suggestion: larger wattage light bulbs. Quite difficult to read. Vey dim.

Darya accommodated my no white flour/no sugar needs beautifully, as well. A two night birthday gift for my husband. Loved it!

This wonderful B&B, warm, friendly, and so comfortable, is located centrally for beach, sailing, wonderful vistas, and interesting shopping. Owners are friendly and helpful.

We couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. Quiet, clean, friendly, relaxed, convenient to Newport and Providence with a pleasant village and beach (2 blocks) nearby. We found Haddie Pierce House to be a great value and enjoyed Darya's style and food very much. We had a delayed arrival in the middle of the night (flights from OR). Darya just took it in stride.

Delicious breakfast! Lovely rooms. Wanted another night, but they were booked up! Only wish was for a tub instead of a shower stall (or a telephone shower would have been better than the "rain" shower head).

My far-away friend (Oregon) & I were meeting at a B&B for a girl-getaway but when her flight was delayed (3 times) then canceled, my husband filled in and we had a lovely time and the Victorian house was wonderful.

A homey, relaxing oasis near the water - within walking distance to quaint village featuring shops and restaurants. Doria creates delicious breakfasts served in antique-filled dining room. My group enjoyed Happy Hour out on the front porch. Will return to this B&B.

lovely rhode island with all it's charm and history.i felt that this stay gave me a part of it. i went to visit family which was the life light,but now i feel that the owners of the haddie pierce are part of my family. the home was full at times, yet you wouldn't realize it. the breakfast was a wonderful experience , i love it, i hope to come back again.

This B&B is in a perfect spot - near the beach, near restaurant, shopping, kayaking. We had the added pleasure of meeting very interesting people there during our stay. The B&B is clean, the food is delicious and the host is great.

Wasn't partial to the family style breakfast but it was fabulous. Location was excellent for walking and navigating around the local sites. Innkeepers were very gracious and very accommodating with information. Like that they promoted their local businesses - restaurants, shops, etc. with referrals and recommendations.

This b&b is my Tuesday get-a-way. The breakfast is always sumptious and healthy. Wickford town center is a great morning walk and then on to the beach! Later you can watch the ferries and fishing boats come in. My two day get-a-way!
