Close to the beach, chairs/towels provided. Fun innkeeper -- goofy "Pinky" character to cart around & take pics of. Lots to do not far from Newport, Block Island, Watch Hill.

We highly recommend the Admiral Dewey Inn. My husband and I have enjoyed several stays. Many wonderful qualities: nicely decorated with many antiques, relaxed atmosphere and Joan the innkeeper is lively and fun to be around. There is much laughter at the breakfast table. Joan is very knowledgeable and helpful about the region.

We have been coming to the Dewey for over 15 years, couldn't wait to come back in 2010....and wouldn't go anywhere else! We already have planned for 4 additional visits this summer. Joan is congenial, intelligent, witty and is "worth the price of admission" with her cosmopolitan attitude, and ongoing banter adding to the overal experience.
