Located at the top of Newport's posh Hill, La Farge Perry House has a perfect location, within walking distance to all of the major attractions, yet far enough away from the active nightspots to provide a restful atmosphere for those that wish to relax. A full breakfast is served in a beautiful dining room where you are surrounded by scenes of Newport on a mural original to the house painted in 1900. With handmade linens and 300 thread count sheets, the rooms have extraordinary comfort; many with small sitting areas and most having either a single or double jacuzzi bath tubs. The local knowledge of Jennifer, the innkeeper, will help you with answers to any questions about the inn, Newport "hot spots" - for dining, dancing and live music.

We found this place doing a Google search for a B&B in Newport, RI and were so pleased with the "find". The house was beautiful with many amenities and our room was lovely. The innkeeper was efficient and accommodating as well as someone with a great sense of humor. If we had to find one fault, it would be the breakfasts. While they were certainly well prepared and filling, our experience with B&Bs has included a very special breakfast. These were good (e.g., omelette one day and pancakes the next). These were ordinary. While this would not prevent us from returning to this inn if we were in Newport in the future or from recommending it to others, but this was the one disappointment.

Our two night stay at the LaFarge Perry House was perfect. Marise was such a helpful hostess. She recommended dining places and made the reservations for us. The mansion tour which she also recommended was wonderful. Breakfasts on both mornings were absolutely delicious and her nightly baked treats were a delight. We loved the nautical room which we chose and we felt right at home. A truly great place to stay!

The rooms were lovely, the location terrific, but Maurice the innkeeper was the icing on our cake! Maurice made dinner reservations for us and my in-laws on the Food and Wine Festival night, which we NEVER could have managed without her. She was also did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable, with humor and grace! Carrie Greene

Everything about La Farge Perry House was wonderful; we have true appreciation for the lovely, immaculate suite, the comfortable beds, the breakfast and the housekeeper. (Yes, you, Morice!) It truly has a "homey" feel. We have traveled from NH for years and enjoy our quiet piece of Newport at the La Farge Perry.

We stayed in the Master's Suite with our kids. It was great. It was less expensive than 2 rooms at a budget hotel, and it was opulent! Great value for a family with kids. The house is lovely and Newport is great. A bit touristy in the centre but the Cliff Walk and Mansions were fascinating. Had a great lunch at The Chanler, overlooking the water.

When entering the b&b we were met by Maurise, the manager, who was friendly, welcoming, and informative with maps and suggestions. She makes you feel at home immediately. Our room was quite nice with its own bathroom. Breakfast was delicious as well. A great choice when staying in Newport.

We loved every second. We stayed in the spacious Master Suite. The room was gorgeous. We had plenty of room for our little one and her nanny. Great location, too. We were able to walk to Kay Chapel and to the Tennis Hall of Fame. The Cliff Walk was a short drive away, though, it could have been walked also if we had more time.

Very nice location, can walk to main street and ocean views. Very spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast. Inn keeper very nice but a little "intrusive" at times for my taste (e.g. where did you go, how was it?, etc.). Otherwise highly recommended.

Everything was great, especially our innkeeper Marise! The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The food was excellent. Our stay in Newport was made even better by the advice on where to eat for our other meals.
