Located at the top of Newport's posh Hill, La Farge Perry House has a perfect location, within walking distance to all of the major attractions, yet far enough away from the active nightspots to provide a restful atmosphere for those that wish to relax. A full breakfast is served in a beautiful dining room where you are surrounded by scenes of Newport on a mural original to the house painted in 1900. With handmade linens and 300 thread count sheets, the rooms have extraordinary comfort; many with small sitting areas and most having either a single or double jacuzzi bath tubs. The local knowledge of Jennifer, the innkeeper, will help you with answers to any questions about the inn, Newport "hot spots" - for dining, dancing and live music.

We had a great time in Newport and accommodations provided by the La Farge Perry House were outstanding. Maureen and her staff did a great job.

We loved La Farge Perry House, from the inviting welcome to the perfect room. We stayed in the Matthew Perry room and it was the perfect size for a family of 3 (one toddler in a pack 'n play). The breakfast was wonderful and in a beautiful dining room. The innkeeper was very accommodating and sweet with our 2 year old. Lastly, the location was ideal - a 3-10 minute walk to shops, eateries, etc. Definitely recommend this B&B.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was a nice start to the day, the rooms were very clean and decorated well. In addition, Maureen was a wonderful host very friendly and eager to please. We hope to go back sometime.

My husband and two friends stayed in a suite at the La Farge Perry House while in Newport for a wedding. The innkeeper was so accommodating, first with our late check-in, and then with my food allergies. She made a delicious breakfast that was gluten-free and vegetarian for me, and the breakfast that the others had was amazing, too! The rooms are super clean, spacious, and so charming. Not a single complaint about this place!

My husband and I stayed in the sumptuous John La Farge room, on the first floor. The decor was lovely and the large jetted tub was decadent. We were able to walk to the downtown area in a few minutes. The breakfast was delicious, however we wished there was a bit more variety. The innkeeper, Maureen, is an impeccable hostess. We would absolutely return.

We come to Newport every year, and this is our favorite place! We discovered this lovely inn through Living Social last year...what a find! The room (Oliver Perry) was absolutely beautiful and clean beyond expectations. The bed was very comfortable and the place was relatively quiet given that it was full. The innkeeper was very warm and welcoming and the treats she left for us were yummy! Location is perfect - very close to town. We are so looking forward to returning next year, and the year after, and the year after...!

I don't give five stars lightly. But simply put, if I had a sixth star to give, I would gladly do so. (Especially the service.) The John Lafarge room was beautiful, with a canopy bed and a huge private bathroom. The whole property was immaculately maintained, and has private parking. We stayed two days, and breakfast was excellent both days. Pancakes with super crispy bacon, and a quiche with fresh fruit. Superb coffee and cookies all day! But most importantly, we can’t say enough about Maureen, the proprietor. As lovely and welcoming as can be, and just delightful to talk to. All in all, a wonderful experience. So much better than a random hotel, and at least comparable in price. We will certainly be going back.

My husband and I stayed at the LaFarge Perry bed and breakfast this past weekend. The house is beautifully maintained, very clean and has classic period furnishings. Maureen is the perfect innkeeper. She is pleasant, friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were phenomenal and the glass of wine in the living room was relaxing. The house is also located within a short stroll to the historic district. We loved the stay and would surely visit again.
