Harborlight Guest House,Cape Carteret NC
These guidelines will help you discover your own special B&Bs (hey, it's a
tough job, but someone's got to do it!):
1. Innkeepers: Welcoming, guest-oriented, flexible, knowledgeable
innkeepers are the key to a great inn.
2. Value: Whether you're paying $100 a night or $500, you want to feel
like you're getting your money's worth.
3. Distinctiveness: The best B&Bs are a delicious balance of
hospitality, food, décor, and setting. You'll know you've found a winner when a
majority of the guests are returnees.
4. Appropriateness: If you want a romantic getaway, don't select an inn
that caters to families; if it's a family vacation, make sure kids are really
welcome.
5. Personal style: Check out websites to see if the inn's style and
yours are a good fit. If frills and frou-frou make you twitch, look for a place
that's clutter-free.
