We attended a wedding near by and found the experience to be delightful. Our hostest was very sincere, accomdating and charming. The breakfast a very special treat my daughter , 16, still referrs to months later. Should the opportunity arize we would definitely return. Next time with more time to linger across the street on the lake.

This was a "find." We travel to Montreal regularly to visit our youngest daughter, at the McGill University...and to be in the city, a wonderful place. This time, however, in that our daughter was moving to a new apartment with her roommates, we needed to haul up some furniture for her in our enclosed trailer...which would not fit into an underground parking garage associated with an in-town hotel. So, I searched for a B & B (more likely to have "space" to park the trailer)...and found The Gables. Rosemarie was exceptionally accommodating...and is a true "hostess." An engaging individual, intelligent and world-traveled, Rosemarie makes for an interesting and enjoyable visit to her lovely, garden-surrounded home on a huge lake. In addition, she's located in West Montreal, an extensive area of small towns, lovely public parks, bike, walking and skating trails, and lots to discover...which, otherwise, we wouldn't have "noticed" from our normal, downtown hotel lodgings. What a lovely time we had...and our daughter's move went smoothly, to boot!
