The Auberge de La Fontaine occupies a magnificent stone house, built at the turn of the century and overlooking Lafontaine Park. It is located in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal near the Latin Quarter swarming with restaurants, bistros and picturesque quaint boutiques. Each of the 21 rooms (spread over 3 floors) have their own style and are designed to offer the ultimate in comfort. They are spacious, soundproof, air-conditioned and bright. Some have a whirlpool, others a small sitting-room. Duvets and cushions provide warm comfort in winter.
With charming decors in contemporary colours, the regular rooms vary in size. They are located on the side of the Auberge or at the back. Each contains either a queen size bed or two single beds for a maximum of two people per room.
The superior rooms are fashionably decorated (colours & furniture) and vary in size. The smaller rooms are located across from Lafontaine Park while the larger ones are on the side or at the back of the Auberge. Some have balconies, whirlpools, brick walls, a sitting area or a work area. Four person maximum with a sofa bed. Each room contains a queen size or double bed.
These are our most spacious rooms offering a whirlpool bath for your pleasure and comfort. One of the suites faces Lafontaine Park and has a private terrace. The others are at the back of the Auberge and have lovely brick walls exposed. Each has a sitting area (elegant sofa bed, comfortable chairs, coffee table) and a queen size bed . Four person maximum per suite with a sofa bed. Two of the suites are loft-style while the other has a separate living room with French doors.

The room was clean and very pleasant. The breakfast was excellent. I was very pleased to find I could eat heartily despite being vegan. I really appreciated the soy milk and hummus spread. Very thoughtful.

Very nice location directly across from Parc LaFontaine. Stayed in a "regular" room. The hotel is a bit dated with decor, but otherwise quite nice. Breakfast was very good each day. Overall, I was pleased with the stay and would return without hesitation.

We always stay here when we come to Montreal. Love the location in the East end of the city right across from the wonderful LaFontaine park. An easy walk to vibrant Rue St Denis with its upscale restaurants and shops. You'll feel well taken care of at this Auberge.

A nice place across the road from a large park. Staff friendly and helpful. The room we had was on the ground floor and a bit small. The bed also small (double) more like a big single. Recommend they upgrade to queen. Parking limited, lucky we were there on the weekend so we could park out the front as it is a clearway week days. Breakfast excellant and location easy to most places.
