    Just couldn't have been better!

    June 23, 2012

We chose Au Petit Château for a two-night stay in the Quebec City area. It was a 100% positive experience for us. Our host and hostess, Richard and Hélène were friendly and helpful, and within moments we felt like we were staying with family. They know the area very well, speak fluent English, and were happy to answer our questions and make helpful recommendations. Other guests were there, and we all enjoyed stimulating conversation and exceptional home-cooked breakfast together. The suite was lovely, clean, quiet and comfortable. WiFI was effortless to make work with a great hight-speed connection. Parking is conveniently on the property where your car is safe and secure. Overall, we were very happy with the accomodations. Au Petit Château is in Levis, across the river from Old Quebec City. The recommended way to get from the B&B to Old Quebec is the ferry, which is a short drive and on the same street (no turns necessary). The ferry runs every half hour most of the day and every hour late at night. You can ditch your car at the ferry in Levis, enjoy the ferry ride, and arrive in Old Quebec city in minutes. Once there, you find you are far better off on foot. So, this solution worked very well for us. Note the ferry's last run back to Levis is at 2:20 AM. We would not hesitate to recommend this B&B. And, the next time we return to this area, we will absolutely stay at Au Petit Château again.

No finer accommodations in all of Quebec

    October 10, 2011

During a one week stay, we enjoyed both the Tower Room and the Tower Suite. The Secret Garden was simply Eden. There we were, sipping wine on a glider next to a pleasant waterfall, and picking up the most delicious macIntosh apples to eat, as they dropped to the ground from the adjacent shade tree. The house was meticulous. The ferry passes to QC were free. The guests were very happy with their choice. The owners were delightful, and while Richard is an artist on canvas, Helene is an artist in the kitchen. All daily explorations began with a wonderful breakfast from a pantry filled with smiles, great conversation, and amazing food! Merci, Helene! La vie c'est bon!

    Beautiful B&B

    July 05, 2011

We had an amazing stay at 'Au petit Chateau' The place was beautiful and in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. It was nice to be close to the old Quebec City, but we also loved the way we could wind down. Reading a book on the veranda, eating outside in the garden filled with flowers, going for a walk or bike ride. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was wonderful. We would definitely go back.

    Beautiful Fall Visit

    November 22, 2008

We stayed at Au Petit Chateau in October. What a beautiful time to visit Quebec City - the foliage is spectacular. Helene & Richard are very worldly, knowledgeable and excellent hosts. They made us feel entirely at home. The entire house and guest rooms are meticulously clean and well-appointed. The only disapppointment we encountered was with the breakfast. Although served gratiously, the advertised level of a 5-star breakfast was not met. If you are expecting crepes, eggs benedict and homemade waffles with whipped cream as we had with a 5 star billing, you will not find it here. The menu was certainly adequate but could be enhanced. We also question the practice of stocking the bathroom with items collected on hotel stays. That being said, we would certainly return and enjoyed our stay!!

    Wonderful experience all around

    July 30, 2008

The rooms were comfortable, appealing, and the service was open and welcoming. Helene was a wonderful source of ideas for places to visit and sites to see, and the breakfasts lived up to their five-star rating. We only stayed two nights at Au Petit Chateau, but would have loved to stay longer. Thanks so much.
