The Lordship of Round Island is located on an island in the heart of the St. Lawrence River in front of Saint-Sulpice in the Lanaudière region. This land of 67 hectares is only accessible by boat.
The history of the Lordship began in 1709 when the Lord Desjordy Francois Moreau de Cabanac and his wife Catherine Louise Robineau de Becancour come build their mansion. His story continues until 1960. Then, the field is abandoned for 25 years.
In 1986, two citizens from Saint-Sulpice, Vandandaigue Guy and his family, and Jocelyn Lafortune see the potential to revitalize this area and would bear buyers.
After more than 20 years of various renovation and planting thousands of trees, the family opens Vandandaigue The Lordship of Round Island to the public, half of the island, the north side of the island, facing the village of Saint-Sulpice.
On this part of the island was located in the manor of the Lordship of the Isles Bouchard and offers tourists the region and beyond to experience history and resort uncommon. L'autre moitié de l'île, soit le coté Sud, appartient à Jocelyn Lafortune, qui ya implanté un vignoble sous le nom de Domaine de l'Ile Ronde.
