Great location-can walk anywhere in historic district. Met other travelers from all over the world. Very good food. The hostess went out of her way to be accomodating and helpful. Only complaint was that it was dark in rooms and common area upstairs. Lack of sufficient lighting was the only issue.

    Thank You Guita

I feel like I run out of superlatives when describing our stay at Maison Historique James Thompson. We had an amazing host in Guita, who cooked the most delicious breakfasts and made us feel totally at home. It was a good thing we were doing a lot of walking or we may have come back to Australia twice the size we were before arriving. She also advised on places to go and how to get there as we were reliant on public transport. We felt she went above and beyond what could be expected in a B & B. Our room was a delight with it's beautiful furniture and furnishings. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Quebec City enhanced not only by staying at James Thompson, but by our first real snowfall and waking up to a winter wonderland. (For you other Aussies out there it was the second month of Spring!!) Thanks Guita for a memorable stay in your beautiful city. Gary and Ruth.
