This beautiful, and unique building stands majestically overlooking the St. Maurice river. Its structure has been restored over several years of hard work, to recreate the beauty this original schoolhouse and convent of Grandes-Piles once held.

John Graham, the current owner has dedicated his heart and soul into making this bed and breakfast a beautiful, and comfortable place for guests to relax, and take a break from their busy and hectic lives.

  • Directions to property:
    From Montreal

    •Take Autoroute 40 East towards Trois Rivières.

    •Go North on Autoroute 55 towards Shawinigan.

    •Autoroute 55 will turn into Provincial route 155 just after Grand-Mere. Follow route 155 until you arrive in Grandes-Piles.

    •Turn left on 3rd Street, then right on 4th Avenue. La Vieille École is on the right hand side beside the bank.
    From Quebec

    •Take Autoroute 40 West towards Trois Rivières.

    •Go North on Autoroute 55 towards Shawinigan.

    •Autoroute 55 will turn into Provincial route 155 just after Grand-Mere. Follow route 155 until you arrive in Grandes-Piles.

    •Turn left on 3rd Street, then right on 4th Avenue. La Vieille École is on the right hand side beside the bank.
