Plantation Bed and Breakfast

– Punxsutawney, PA

At The Plantation, "bed and breakfast" is at it's best with English hospitality enhanced with American preferences. Under new ownership and formerly well-known in the Punxsutawney area as the "Plantation Motel," this historical home which was built in 1856 is well-suited for guests. In the separate guest wing of the home are five rooms, each with private baths, Dish TV, and A/C. The large, comfortable rooms are decorated with old world charm. Slide into smooth, fresh sheets each night. In the morning, the china and silver gleam as you enjoy the home-cooked breakfast by candlelight in the newly remodeled parlor. An area is provided where guests can make coffee, store cold drinks or use the microwave oven at anytime of the day or night. In the morning, wander downstairs to a breakfast featuring some of the classic favorites such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, homegrown blueberries in crumpets or pancakes, french toast, homemade granola, muffins or banana bread, fried tomatoes, fruit, juice, and Gevalia coffee. Barclay Bed & BreakfastPunxsutawney, PA

"Groundhog Day Stay"

"If you're passing through Punxsutawney it is a must to stay at the Barclay Bed and Breakfast. Lisa goes out of her way to make sure that everyone is enjoying their time and it doesn't hurt that the breakfast is delicious! We were in town for Groundhog Day 2012 all the way from Indianapolis and I was planning to propose to my girlfriend. All I had to do was mention this to Lisa and she ran with it, even going as far to coordinate with the Inner Circle to have the ring tied around Punxsutawney Phil's neck at just the right time. Everything was perfect and it was all thanks to Lisa... and Phil I guess. We will definitely be back sometime in the future!"
