I and my travelling companion stayed here for two nights at the end of June 2014. The room was 70 € per night, including a delicious breakfast consisting of fresh croissants, pains au chocolat, toast, jams, honey, butter, coffee, juice, and the first morning even apple cake! The hosts Robert and Michele were absolutely lovely and very accommodating, although their knowledge of English is quite limited. However, with the addition of the very little French we know and sign language, we were able to communicate well enough. Our hosts offered some advice on where to go and what to see, and there were brochures in our room. (If our French had been better, I'm sure they would have shared even more advice) Michele even took the trouble to show us the supermarket and tourist information office, showing the way in her own car (on her own initiative), as we followed behind. The house and all the furniture are new, and everything was immaculately clean. The B&B is located in a very quiet and peaceful area, but that also means it's a bit remote from shops and restaurants etc. If I remember correctly, getting to Gorges du Verdon was about half an hour's drive. To sum up, this was an excellent place to stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend La Charmante to anybody visiting the region!
