The gardens contain both mature fruit trees and ornamental tropical plants as well as over 5 different varieties of bannana. Paths lead through the garden, down the hillside to a river and falls. The infinity pool is the centerpiece of the property. A set of wide steps lead to a shallow area where children can play. At the edge you can look for fishing boats sailing out to sea, sail boats gliding by, or sea birds flying in the currentss overhead.
The veranda is the main social area of the guest house. It juts out over the steeply sloping land giving guests a tree top view of the birds and sea. Bird feeders attract dozens of birds throughout the day. The breakfast bar and adjoining dinning room offer a convivial setting for morning conversation and evening dining. Cold drinks and beer are available throughout the day.
The Concord is a corner room overlooking the sea in two directions. It opens onto the upstairs veranda which has stairs leading down to the lower garden. It has a queen sized bed and is air conditioned. Just off the breakfast area and next to the veranda, the living room is a cozy place to read a book or chat with friends. There is a library with more than 300 books to insure everyone will have something good to read.
This Green Throated Mango hummingbird is one of more than 40 different species that have been observed at Gloucester Place. Both forest and sea birds can be spotted from the property. Creighton River is the lower property boundry. It tumbles over rocks creating falls and pools. Always in the shade, the river is a tranquil spot for reflection or a challenge for exploration on its way to sea.
The Lexington bedroom has twin beds that convert to a king with the addition of another mattress. It overlooks the hillside garden and connects to a walkway leading to the upstairs veranda.
