The Thistle Inn, built in 1861 as the home of a prominent Sea Captain, has been welcoming guests since 1960. The Thistle Inn stands at the entrance to Boothbay Harbor, a vibrant and picturesque port village on the coast of Maine. The Inn's period character, unique setting and long history, make it a perfect choice for vacations, honeymoons, anniversary gifts, and romantic getaways.   • Deposit amount required (Reservations of one or two nights are guaranteed by a charge of 100% of your stay at the time of initial booking. Stays of three or more nights are secured with 50% of your total stay.)
  • Check in time is 3pm and Check out time is 11am
  • Cancellations:
    A cancellation surcharge of $20 will be charged for all cancellations. If the reservation is cancelled within 10 days of the arrival date, one night will be charged for stays up to four nights; two nights will be charged for stays of five nights or more. If the reservation is cancelled within 2 days of the arrival date we will charge for the full stay.

    I-95 North to I-295 North. From I-295 use either Exit 28 through Brunswick to Route 1 North. Follow coastal Route 1 North past Bath and through the village of Wiscasset. Just after crossing the long bridge over the Sheepscot River, follow the signs to turn RIGHT on Route 27 South. Travel on Route 27 South about 12 miles through Edgecomb, then Boothbay, and finally Boothbay Harbor. Proceed straight ahead at the traffic light (Hannaford market on right). As you enter the harbor, there is a fork in the road (The First National Bank is in the center of the fork), stay to the right. You are now on Oak Street and The Thistle Inn will be on your left.
