General Information

Avlon House Bed & Breakfast having being independently audited by the Irish Tourist Board & The AA has being awarded a 4 Diamond recommendation in recognition of the quality of product offered to visitors, we seek these independent approvals so you can make your reservation safe in the knowledge that our product quality is among the highest available in Carlow town.

You are assured of a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the warm cosy guest lounges where open fires await you whether you're browsing through the papers, books, magazines, catching up with your favourite soap or viewing one of the titles from our DVD library which now extends to over 500 titles, including the 2007 Top 100 movies of all times as voted for by the American Film academy. For me the patio with its selection of rear plants & water features is a treasure and forms a nice back drop on a fine evening to enjoy an outdoor Tea / Coffee or even something a little stronger. The garden is my personal hoppy and advice is always welcome. Our log cabin provides shelter for the smokers among you as the house is a smoke free zone; it is also home to some board games.
Guests awaken to the smell of freshly cooked local Carlow foods. Breakfast at Avlon House served in our well appointed dining room is leisurely and relaxed from 7-10 each morning, lively chat is assured. A full breakfast menu is provided which changes with the season, and always includes vegetarian dishes

• Limitations on children staying (Best advise in advance not all rooms suitable)

• Consumption of alcohol is permitted (Teas, Coffee's,minerals, waters, corking service available.)
• Deposit amount required (Rooms normally held against credit card details, no charges unless cancellation within 48hrs of arrival or no show when first nights accommodation charged in full .)
• Check in time is from 1400 and Check out time is before 1130
• Cancellations:
  Cancellation Policy 48hrs in advance of arrival, outside this the cost of first nights accommodation is due in full and will be charged to your credit card or taken from deposit. If check in time is going to be later than 6pm on due date please advise Avlon house reservations. Rates are shown in Euros and include Government sales tax @ 13½% & breakfast from our menu. Avlon House bed and breakfast is a small premises and cannot accept stag or hen parties, please do not book as refusal on the day causes up set all round.
