General Information

The Delano Homestead Bed and Breakfast is located in the historic town center of beautiful Fairhaven, MA.

The Homestead is within a short stroll of 5 village restaurants, a bike path, a beach, parks, and the working, Fairhaven waterfront.

It are also within just minutes of Historic New Bedford, The Whaling Museum, the Martha's Vineyard Fast Ferry, the New Bedford Zoo, several local beaches, and the New Bedford Regional Airport.

It is also within 25 minutes of Newport, RI, Cape Cod, Horseneck Beach in westport, and Providence, RI.

And within 50 minutes of TF Green (Providence) Airport, Boston, and Logan Airport.

The Delano Homestead is a classic example of transitional Federal/ Greek Revival architecture, with wide doorways, sweeping staircases, 12-foot ceilings, wide-pine floors, and huge original windows. Yet, the home is comfortable and welcoming.

Finally, this property, much as it is now, was the homestead for FDR's mother's family and the president spent many days here during his childhood and also visited when president.

Experience the History of New England and the South Coast Region while you rest in comfort.
