Midtown Atlanta's premier Landmark Inn. Shellmont Inns foyer is framed with original hand-painted stenciling. Anchoring the foyer is the carved mantel adorned with ribbons and bows, dental moulding and wainscotting. All carved by Italian woodcarvers. The mosaic tile in the greek key pattern surrounds the Authentic English Gas fireplace. Providing the perfect place to relax after a long day of touring or working.
Our Resident Chief prepares a gourmet breakfast twice daily. Began your day with your choice of juice and a fresh fruit plate that may have cantalope, strawberries, kiwi, blackberries or grapes. The second course may be baked eggs in a cheese sauce served over English Muffins. We always serve our meat on the side. Homemade blueberry coffee cake, pear bread or another treat to top off your breakfast. On our sideboard you will find granola, assortment of dried fruit, organic cereal and yogurt. Enjoy! Shellmont Inn always uses the finest ingredients available. Dietary options available.The Tiffany Room offers morning sunshine and direct access to the upper Veranda. The bath offers a whirlpool tub, separate frameless glass steamshower all set in granite stone. Luxury!
The Entrance Foyer (two story) features a five panel, two story original Tiffany Stained Glass Set which illuminates the choral musical area. Carved woodwork, mosiac tiles, original stenciling and heartpine floors showcase this public area.The rear lower veranda is a favorite gathering spot for our guests to linger over that last sip of coffee or just to admire the rear gardens.
Gold, green and burgundy Hand-printed William Morris wallpaper including wainscotting and border provide the backdrop for this large opulent livingroom. The five foot circular alcove with statuary niches frame the table for two, providing the perfect setting for breakfast. The mahogany fern stand, firescreen and chair are just a few of the original 1890's furniture. One of the smallest details you will notice is the original hand-painted tiebacks.The veranda Room is one of our largest suites and has a granite bathroom equipped with whirlpool tub and separate frameless glass shower. Direct access to the upper rear Veranda.
