Located in the heart of the Rideau Lakes, the only locale to combine a UNESCO World Heritage Site (the Rideau Canal) with a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve (the Frontenac Arch), Newboro House makes the ideal base for a holiday that combines country delights with city pleasures. Three guest rooms in the original 1880s brick home, two with ensuite bathrooms, feature comfortable modern furniture and luxurious Kingsdown beds. A full breakfast, with gourmet specialties, is served each morning in the sunlit dining room. The area boasts what is possibly the greatest concentration of heritage attractions in Canada, not to mention unparalleled opportunities for outdoor recreation, winter or summer.     Start from Highway 401 and County Road 10 (Division Street), Kingston. Travel north on County Road 10 to County Road 42 (Westport). Turn east (right) on County Road 42 to Newboro. Travel through Newboro and down the small hill. As you approach the foot of the hill, watch for the B&B sign on the left.

    Take the Airport Parkway north to Hunt Club Road. Exit onto Hunt Club Road, and travel west on Hunt Club to Highway 416. Take Highway 416 south, and travel to Roger Stevens Drive (County Road 6). Exit onto County Road 6, and travel west to Smiths Falls. At Smiths Fall, take Highway 15 south, and travel to County Road 42 (Crosby). Turn west (right) on County Road 42. Proceed for about 5 km. Watch for the B&B sign on the right just after you enter Newboro.
