General Information

The property known as “Advice 5¢, a bed & breakfast” was custom built in 1995. The house has been referred to in travel guides as a “seaside haven,” featuring a signature ship’s watch and distinctive coastal cottage elements. As is typical on the Outer Banks, the house was built with a reverse floor plan to capture panoramic views and was then designed for guest comfort, with abundant common areas located on the uppermost level. Common areas feature a wood burning fireplace, wet bar and ice maker in the great room, hardwood floors in foyer, hallway and dining room, juniper ceiling accents and wainscoting in addition to maximized natural lighting. The inclusion of ceiling fans as well as the central air conditioning system maximizes guest comfort and enhances the coastal ambiance. A covered front porch and ocean breeze deck allow for the enjoyment of outdoor space. All guest rooms are appointed with private baths & decks, cable television, and iPod docks. Additionally, on site outdoor showers, locking storage area, ample off street parking, and wireless Internet service all add to guest convenience.
