You deserve to Take a Break from the Ordinary and Experience the Extraordinary. Just 20 minutes from Okefenokee State Park Sankofa is more than just Bed and Breakfast. Our Retreat Sanctuary is nestled on over 13 acres of natural pine woodland and has been designed with you in mind; to be your home away from home. The sanctuary is home to the historic Sankofa Castle (formerly known to the local community as "The Pink Castle"), and nature's family of otters, ducks, bass, catfish, etc. We invite you to spend time with us boating or fishing on the lake, strolling along the many nature paths, and picking blueberries, pecans, or pears depending on the season. Or perhaps you would prefer swimming in the pool during the summer months or relaxing in the sauna or spa.

The natural countryside woodlands, Serenity Lake, outdoor pool, sauna, spa, private cottages, organic cuisine, and beverages combine to create an environment that is conducive to a relaxation and holistic healing and enrichment. You may choose to participate in our daily wellness sessions of Sunrise Yoga, Nature Walks, Evening Tea and more. Guests also have the option of selecting from our wide variety of Retreat themes and Healing Spa Therapies to add on to their accommodations packages.

Policies

• Minimum stay required (Weekend Minimum Stay - 2 Nights)
• Smoking is not allowed
• We cannot accommodate guest pets
• Accommodations are not suitable for children
• No childcare is provided
• Consumption of alcohol is not permitted
• Deposit amount required (We require a 50% down payment in order to confirm your booking more than 30 days in advance. Packages must be paid in full 30 days prior to scheduled date.)
• Check in time is 4:00pm and Check out time is 11:00am
• Cancellations:
  Because we are a very small operation we are required to enforce the following payment and refund policies. There is a NO REFUND POLICY in regards to booking cancellations less than 30 days in advance. Credit for Packages not redeemed will be applied to accounts in good standing. Credit may be transferred to another party by paying a $25 transfer fee and must be used within 90 of original scheduled. If you would like to cancel a booking with an interval of more than 30 days we charge a 25% cancellation fee. There is also a NO REFUND POLICY on payments made in full in the case of you wanting to shorten you stay. If you are unsure about your length of stay it is recommend to book only 1 week instead of 2 or 3 weeks and extend your stay after your first week, this of course is subject to availability.

She teaches various classes in health and wellness and assists people in their pursuit of spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical health. Rev. Wilbert Gamble is an ordained clergy. As a chaplain in the U.S. Navy for over 8 years he counseled hundreds of couples in premarital preparation.
