General Information

The Inn at Moonlight Beach (formerly SeaBreeze Inn) Bed & Breakfast is perched on a hillside above charming, sandy Moonlight Beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the quaint little beach community of Old Encinitas, a magical place of sand, sea, sun and surf. Each of our 4 lovely guest suites are ultra-fresh-and-clean with plush linens, private bathrooms, wireless internet, refrigerator, coffee maker with Starbucks coffee and cable TV.

Each morning Ann has warm, home-made, fresh-from-the-oven breads, muffins and croissants waiting for you with fresh sliced fruit, crunchy premium granola, warm hard-boiled eggs, delicious yogurts and fresh-ground Starbucks coffee.

We're close to the beach, so we have beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards and a surf board for you to use – free. Many guests walk to Moonlight Beach to swim, body surf, try their hands at surfing, play volleyball or just relax and watch the dozens (or hundreds!) of world-class surfers. Be sure to keep an eye out for Gray Whales and Bottlenose Dolphin.

If you’re looking for tranquility, you may wish to curl up with a book by our meditative waterfall and Koi pond, or just enjoy one of 3 daily newspapers and a cup of Ann's Starbucks coffee. We strictly limit children so you can be assured of peace and quiet.

Take a walk from the Inn through our little "downtown" on legendary Highway 101 - a unique "arts" community of specialty shops, bazaars, coffee shops and amazing restaurants - all with a laid-back "beachy" flair.

  Ann loves to spend time on the phone with our two daughters (downtown Chicago and Regis University in Denver) and especially enjoys entertaining our guests. Terry is a retired President/CEO of a national training company (By Referral Only, Inc). Now that he is retired, Terry is an avid birder, the coordinator for Oceanside's annual Christmas Bird Count and an active member, board member or director of all three of San Diego's Audubon Societies.
