General InformationWillow Creek Inn is located in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. It is nestled at the base of Bushyhead Mountain, named for a Cherokee Indian Chief that is said to have live in the same location. The property was purchased by Marshall Carroll in 1969 and is part of the original Georgia Mountain Water properties. Mr. Carroll bought the property as a retreat for his family and church. An inter-denominational camp still operates on the property. Mr. Carroll's daughter, Gail Johnson, is the owner and manager of the properties and the host of the Willow Creek Inn.
There is also a small working family farm at Willow Creek. With a couple of milk cows, lots of chickens, a couple of golden retrievers, several chickens and a cottage garden featuring Mel Bartholomew's square foot garden concept, you will never lack for something to do. Bring your fishing pole if you like or take a canoe ride on the 3 acre lake that sits peacefully in the front of the B&B.
If you like, you can take the 6 mile ride into Blue Ridge and stroll down main street and shop at the many antique stores or take a ride on the Blue Ridge Mountian Railroad. If the season is right you can raft the Ocoee River, home of the 1996 Olypmics or tube down the Toccoa River. Merciers Orchard is always open and delighting customers with their fragrant delights.
The Inn is open year round and offers 4 rooms in the main hous eand 3 in the original farmhouse that dates back to the early 1900's and has been refurbished.
