The gracious front stairs feature lovely paneling and newels. The bottom steps are rounded and ebonized in clear fir.
the hall tree is an American Aesthetic movement piece from the 1880's. It is truly one of a kind.Wonderful original details abound throughout the house. The massive brick gas fireplace, box beam ceilings, double ribbon inlaid hardwood floors with intricate corners. Pocket doors close off the dining room. All of the woodwork was never painted and is in amazingly good condition.
All of the original restored lighting fixtures remain. This one had gas lights originally. The gas keys are in the shape of dragons.Looking into the living room/entry hall
The living room is dominated by a wonderful brick fireplace and is furnished with Stickley furniture. An amazing art pottery collection can be found here also. Looking into the dining room which features linen covered walls with batten strips topped with a plate rail.
A Bradbury and Bradbury frieze completes the room.
One of over twenty working antique phonographs scattered throughout the house. This is a Busy Bee player from 1901.
Neighbors refer to this house as the one with all the ferns. The rockery was installed and ferns planted in the 1950's.An artsy shot of Room #1 which features an amazing American Victorian bedroom set and a bright, sunny bathroom with shower.
