General Information

Clay Corner Inn has six lovely guest rooms and two suites in a cluster of houses next to Virginia Tech campus. Guests come from all over the world to enjoy the comforts of home, amenities of a fine hotel and friendly atmosphere of a small inn. The property is smoke-free, and we have two dog friendly rooms. On the high tech side, there's wireless Internet, DVD players in flat screen TVs, expanded cable TV, CD clock radios, online reservations and power strips. For low tech, we serve a fresh, healthy breakfast, pour your coffee and provide you with warm, gracious hospitality.

  A veteran innkeeper and writer, Joanne modeled her life after Newhart in The Newhart Show, except that Clay Corner Inn is in Virginia instead of her home state of Vermont (where Newhart resided). She's an editor, author and writer, as well as innkeeper and hostess.
