Grandma Winter's Sugar Cookie: Dessert

Ingredients:

  • 4 1/2 cups Flour

  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar

  • 1 cup Canola Oil

  • 2 Eggs

  • 3 teaspoons Baking Powder

  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 1 cup Buttermilk

  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Step 1:

In large mixing bowl, blend oil and sugar. Continue mixing eggs, sugar, buttermilk and vanilla. Add remaining dry ingredients. Cover bowl and place in refrigerator 6-8 hours.

Step 2:

Flour your board, cookie cutters, and rolling pin. Roll out 1/2 of dough (place remaining half back in fridge) Cut out cookies into desired shape(s). Place on cookie sheet in 400 degree oven. Bake 10-14 minutes, depending on size and thickness of your cookie. (Until puffy) Do not overbake.

Step 3:

Repeat for remaining half of cookie dough, if you haven't eaten too much of it!!
