General Information

The Riverside Inn is in the fork of the Downie and Yuba rivers in Downieville, CA. It's at the bottom of a river canyon, deep in the Tahoe National Forest on Hwy 49.
We have 11 rooms (one is a 2-room suite that can sleep 8). All rooms have a balcony over the river.
The area was called the Lost Sierra by National Geographic. It's a great place to enjoy the outdoors. Downieville is a mountain bike mecca. Other activities include fishing, gold panning, kayaking, hiking, boating, four-wheeling, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, bird watching (from quails to eagles), and much more.
It's the definition of "Getting away from it all." Friendly people, blue skies, clean air, clean water are a given. Park your car and walk all over town. Chat with the locals.
