Review Old Wetumpka House Bed & Breakfast, Wetumpka, AL

Photo Album

Old Wetumpka House was built in 1849. It has been restored to its original Greek Revival beauty. A welcoming entrance to Old Wetumpka House. Guests may view the historical items in the display case that were highlighted on HGTV's "If Walls Could Talk."
The Parks Room named for the last of three generations to own the house, it offers space and plenty of light, beautiful decor and private bath/shower.Revisit Grandma's by having one of our good ole southern breakfasts in the informal "formal" dining room. Breakfast is a delectible event featuring our house Apple French Toast with pecan crumbles and apple brown sugar sauce. We also accomodate requests from a menu of grits, eggs, homemade biscuits, tomato gravy, sausage and pancakes, sausage gravy, breakfast casseroles, fresh fruit topped with granola, juice, hot tea and fresh coffee.
The common area is where guests can visit or kick back to watch movies or tv, play board games, or take advantage of the fresh made cookies, popcorn, and drinks. The Robbins Room is named for the second generation of the family who owned the house years ago. With its high ceilings and heart pine floors, four poster king-sized bed, and private bath complete with original clawfoot tub, any guest will feel welcomed in this elegant ambience. Bed linens are of the highest thread count, towels are plush and so are the super soft robes provided for your use.
Enjoy a cup of coffee on the long rocking chair porch right out the dining room doors. The screened porch takes you back to those days when entertainment wasn't t.v. but the sound of birds and the chatter of friends and family.
In the summer, the yard is abloom with heritage flowers and shrubs, planted long ago under the huge pecan tree that dominates the back yard.
