General InformationWe invite you to share our 1847 farmhouse on the Prospect Harbor shore in Downeast Maine. Five bedrooms with private baths provide casual comfort and architectural surprises in the form of arched dormers and interesting angles. Feel free to use the house as your home away from home and to wander our extensive shore and woods. Mermaid's Purse Farm is convenient to spectacular Schoodic Point (the uncrowded northern section of Acadia National Park), Jones Pond, Mt. Desert Island by ferry, and points north. Breakfasts are informal and can be tailored to your tastes. We welcome well mannered pets and children, as do our two Old English sheepdogs, Mei Mei and Pye.
