General Information

Domaine de Palatz close to Carcassonne Medieval Cite in the Cathar Region and close to the Canal du Midi. The Domaine is a fully renovated ancient bergerie, yet retains it's original features. Close by are a number of medieval villages where they offer a variety of Gourmand dining in this famous wine growing region. Surrounded by vineyards with spectacular views of The Ariege Mountains and glimpses of the Pyrenees. There are 3 spacious themed ensuite bedrooms, each with tv & dvd, fridge and tea/coffeemaking facilities. Ruby and Emerald have direct access to the large swimming pool and a fully equipped summer kitchen within the surrounding gardens, with Amber having direct access through a central courtyard.

  From CARCASSONNE Airport; Come out of the airport and turn RIGHT (go to the roundabout and come back on yourself) go past the AIRPORT down to the next roundabout (about 2 mins) Follow the sign post for MAZAMET. After about 4 roundabouts, 5 including the new mini roundabout installed at the small shopping mall. At the last roundabout about 5.5 miles altogether turn RIGHT onto D620. Take the direction of; VILLALIER VILLAGLEY and CAUNE MINERVOIS. Stay on this road for about 7.7 miles. Then turn RIGHT into the D111 signposted; LAURE MINERVOIS (opposite a sign; DISCOTHEQUE on your left) Before you arrive the village of LAURE MINERVOIS ( about 1.95 MILES ) you will see the sign: " DOMAINE DE PALALTZ " on your RIGHT.

• Directions from airport:
  Go to the dual carriage way, and head for "Montpellier" on the blue signs, which is the autoroute (not Carcassonne) It will take about 1hour and a half, and you will see the sign Carcassonne/ west etc) turn off at Carcassonne EAST (not before). The sign will also say TREBES - Exit 24 You will come off the Peage, continue to TREBES, bear right as you leave the barrier. You will go under a railway bridge, then take the FIRST LEFT turning, it will say Centre Ville, continue, then you will go over a river, continue through TREBES, and over the CANAL, take the FIRST LEFT and you will see a small roundabout, HERE you will see the sighpost LAURE MINERVOIS You continue on this road (about 15mins) this will bring you to LAURE MINERVOIS, turn left at the next junction, past the fire station, at the end of the road, turn left TAKE the D111, you will pass a lake on your RIGHT (about 2mins) if you don't pass the lake, you have taken the wrong road!! After you pass the lake (about 2 mins) you will see a sign on your left DOMAINE DE PALATZ
