Breakfast Sausage Casserole: Breakfast-Brunch

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb breakfast sausage

  • 3 cups milk (non-lowfat)

  • 1/4 cup flour

  • 2 lb frozen hash browns

  • 1 1/4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated

  • 4 green onions, chopped

Step 1:

Brown sausage. Add flour (do not drain grease). Add milk until mixture is bubbly and thickened.

Step 2:

Spray a 9x13 casserole dish. Place hash browns evening in pan. Top with 1 cup of the cheese and some of the green onions.

Step 3:

Pour sausage mixture over hash browns. Top with remaining cheese and onions.

Step 4:

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. (This dish may be made ahead of time but increase the cooking time when it has been refrigerated)
