Pause at the Scenic Overlook for breathtaking vistas of the Reno Valley. From Carson City, NV: From Carson City it is a leisurely 15 mile drive. Take US 50 East to Highway 341. This portion of the State highway follows the old "Comstock Highway". The road leads through Silver City, past Devil's Gate, and through Gold Hill where you cross the V&T Railroad tracks, before negotiating the steep grade to the Divide.

    Carolyn is the history buff, having taught college-level Nevada History for many years. Her library features a large collection of Nevada history and the American West. Gourmet cooking is her hobby. Chris is a mechanical engineer with thirty years of service in the rail transit industry. He hails from Switzerland originally. He is the handyman in the family with a special love for wood working.
