General Information The Walden House Bed and Breakfast in Newport Washington is a family friendly establishment. A great place for a relaxing family vacation or special getaway for just the two of you. You will experience a down-to-earth atmosphere in a country small town setting with many amenities to enjoy and plenty of local and close by activities to choose from. This newly renovated Bed and Breakfast has 8 guest rooms with private baths and each has it's own great theme. We offer breakfast in the dining area or you can choose a breakfast in a basket in your room.The large back yard includes a privately fenced covered 8 person spa and a separate play area for the kids. An established hiking trailhead on the National forest is just 1 block away with the river and boat launch only 3/4 mile from the B&B. Yes, we have high speed wireless internet through out the house.
Newport is nestled in the picturesque North East Mountains of Washington State. This charming community was established in the 1890's close to the Pend Oreille River. It sits on the Washington Idaho border, centrally located for year round fun and adventure.

If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please contact us at least 7 (seven) days* prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation. A $25.00 processing fee will be charged.
In the event that you must cancel with less than seven (7) days* notice, we will refund 1/2 the reservation cost. If you cancel on the day of the reservation no refund will be made. - Accepted by the following agencies:

Turn left and go straight for 3 blocks till you reach Warren Avenue. Turn right on Warren and go 2 1/2 blocks. We are on the left side, a large brown two story house with a large parking lot in front. - Nearest major airport: GEG 50 miles

From Spokane International Airport travel east on I-90 about 3 miles to the Division St/ Newport Highway 2 exit. Turn left and move to the right lane. Continue on Division about 6 miles to the "Y" toward Newport Hwy 2. Stay right and go about 40 miles until you come to Newport Washington. As you enter Newport the road turns into a one way called Union Street. Get into the left lane and stay on Union until you come to a stop sign at a "T" by the railroad crossing.
