Snickerdoodles

Ingredients:

• 1 cup Butter Flavored Shortening
• 1 1/2 cups Sugar
• 2 Eggs
• 2 3/4 cups Flour - sifted
• 2 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
• 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
• 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Steps:

1. Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
2. Sift flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt together. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture.
3. Roll dough into even sized balls. Roll balls into mixture of 2 Tablespoons of sugar and 2 Teaspoons of cinnamon. Place balls two inches apart on an non greased baking sheet. Flatten balls of dough with the flat bottom of a glass, until about 1/2" thick.
4. Bake in a 400 degree preheated oven for approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Don't over bake. Allow to cool on a cooling rack.
