Snickerdoodles

- 1 cup Butter Flavored Shortening
- 1 1/2 cups Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2 3/4 cups Flour - sifted
- 2 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
Steps:
- Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
- Sift flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt together.
Add flour mixture to creamed mixture.
- Roll dough into even sized balls. Roll balls into mixture of 2 Tablespoons of sugar and 2 Teaspoons of cinnamon. Place balls two inches apart on an non greased baking sheet. Flatten balls of dough with the flat bottom of a glass, until about 1/2" thick.
- Bake in a 400 degree preheated oven for approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Don't over bake. Allow to cool on a cooling rack.
