General InformationSail on in to the SAIL INN. At the Sail Inn, a bed and breakfast guest house, we strive to provide an intimate personal setting for our overnight guests in a quaint, historic home. We are located across the street from the Tryon Palace Historic Sites & Gardens. Our availability is limited, but our hospitality is bountiful. We would like to welcome you aboard and for you to simply enjoy your voyage through Historic New Bern and the surrounding areas of Eastern North Carolina.

Cancellation request will be honored and a full refund of your deposit returned if cancellation notice is received by us within 3 days (72 hrs) of the date of your reservation. Discounts available:

For the City Of New Bern, locate the intersection of HWY 70 and HWY 17 (also know as Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd). Drive east on HWY 17 following the signs for Downtown New Bern. Continue straight on HWY 17N following the Tryon Palace Historic Sites & Gardens signage. (HWY 17N becomes Broad Street.) Continue on Broad Street and turn right onto George Street. Go one block to the stoplight at the entrance to Tryon Palace. Turn right onto Pollock Street and continue to 714 Pollock Street. - Nearest major airport: EWN 3 miles

Craven County regional airport is about 3 miles from the Inn across the Trent River. Start out going South on Terminal Dr. Turn LEFT onto Airport Road. Turn Left onto HWY 70. Continue to Trent Woods / Pembroke Exit (follow the orange signs for Downtown New Bern). Turn Right and follow the road to Pollock Street. Turn right and travel to 714 Pollock Street.
