Nestled in the Hawaiian fern forest and situated on the edge of Kazamura Cave and Lava tube, Aloha Crater Lodge welcomes you. Located less than 2 miles from the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, our rooms are designed with your privacy in mind. Every room has it's own entrance and gorgeous views of the natural Ohia and Hapu'u landscape. A continental breakfast is placed in your room daily and includes homemade Hawaiian tea bread, a basket of fresh fruit and complimentary Hawaiian blend coffee and tea service. Enjoy your coffee while overlooking our collapsed lava tube. Kazamura cave is a treasure to behold. Breathe in the beauty and majesty of the days of old when lava created this incredible sight. After breakfast you might drive down the hill to Hilo, about 30 scenic miles, where you can shop til you drop or beach it for the day. Unwind before dinner by taking a hot tub. Situated near the lavatube for your relaxation and enjoyment. A gourmet dinner awaits at any one of the fabulous restaurants located in Volcano Village, Keawe Kitchen, Thai Thai, Lava Rock Cafe, Kilauea Lodge or Volcano House. If you have dinner at the Volcano House, view one of the HOTTEST attractions happening in the Volcanoes National Park, Hale a mau'mau crater. Hawaii Volcanos National Park is one of the few places in the world where you can view a live active volcano. For most this is a once in a lifetime opportunity not to be missed. Remember, this is how these islands were made! Lava viewing can also be seen from the end of HWY 130. Located about 1.5 hours from Aloha Cater Lodge, the lava enters the ocean near Kalapana. Truely an amazing sight to behold!

Shannon and Dan were great; the accommodations were nice, clean and quiet too! We loved being so close to the National Park. The lava tour was defiantly an added bonus and well worth the stay! Dan did a great tour. The grounds are beautiful.

This lodge was a great place to unwind after our long trip. The vacation rental had plenty of room for our family of 5. Dan and Shannon are fantastic hosts, and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Don't miss the lava tube! MUCH better than the one in the park!

Very very very cool lava tube

This was a good place to stay. Their referral saved us $200 on a helicopter tour. But far and away the coolest thing was the lava tube.

Great lava tube on the property!

We only stayed for one night and the highlight was definitely the lava tube onsite. Thanks to Dan for giving us an excellent tour of it. The room was what was expected with what we paid for - we were just looking for a clean room/bathroom and nothing more.
