The centerpiece of this suite is an impressive queen size Mahogany carved poster bed adorned with the prince of Wales' plumes. It is highlighted with a number of nautical paintings including the Lake Erie and Cape Cod regions. The dresser is unique, it is a ca. 1900 mahogany piece from Boston, hand painted with enamel scenes from Japan, and amazingly it is artist signed. Additionally, a beautifully carved 19th Century ship captain's table is used for a side bed table and holds a LCD flat screen TV with 155 cable channels. A comfortable couch, chair and a desk also compliment the suite. And a walk-in closet is part of this suite.
The main bedroom is quite large and contains a Queen size ca. 1870 carved bed (with new pillow top Serta mattress) with matching marble top bed table and dresser. There is a walk-in closet. An oak Armoire, beautifully hand carved, holds the TV. The "gem" of this suite, is the bathroom, which is accessed via the suite's private hallway. There is a large jacuzzi with special lighting and candles help provide many relaxing moments. The granite sink top, which is quite large, wraps around two walls as do the large mirrors. One also has the
This room can be rented by our guests who rent the Greenslade Suite. This separate room is in the same suite and will share the Greenslade bathroom. The room contains a civil war era spoon carved bed and also contains a large, single size bed window seat. Victorian era furniture adorns the room including a wonderful oak wash stand with ca. 1830's soft paste wash bowl and pitcher. A large walk-in closet is provided. This room comfortably sleeps 2 - 3 people. It is ideal for friends or two couples traveling together or those traveling with mature children.

Richard is a wonderful host. His inn is a beautiful late Victorian/early Arts & Crafts home, filled with his charming collections. We loved his hospitality, the breakfasts, and his knowledge of the area and its history. We'll be back! The Nautica suite is in the southeast corner of the 2nd floor, at the front of the inn. It is a great room for early morning sun. If you prefer a darker room - suggest trying a suite at the back of the inn.

the alumni board for a college group i am involved in met at the Victorian Tudor Inn with our undergraduate counterparts for an intense 2 day retreat for evaluation and goal setting. The inn was the perfect location. The rooms and meeting facilities were comfortable, warm, and conducive to open and honest communication. Richard Stegman, the innkeeper, aside from being our host also facilitated the meeting. he guided the discussion and brought out thoughtful and meaningful discussion points. Everyone involved considered this a great event held at a great location.

Just prior to Christmas our extended family had to go home ( Bellevue) due to my mother passing. We had stayed in other facilities on prior visits, but all were less than acceptable in all areas. For the additional $20 to $40 dollars a night, the Tudor Inn is outstanding in more areas than the five noted above. Under the circumstances, we had a wonderful stay & Richard was so kind in offering to adjust our departure time as a result of the funeral. I have read all the other positive reviews & to concur would be an understatement. I look forward to future visits & staying in Richard's B&B. Richard is the consummate host. Thank-you for such a wonderful stay.

My wife and I recently had the utmost pleasure of visiting and staying the weekend at the Vitotian Tudor Inn. This Inn is a MUST see and experience! The Inn is spacious, decorated beautifully and well kept. Imagine perfection...here it is! Our host and Inn Keeper Richard was the perfect mix of host, cook, friend, and now, I would also like to add family. As we departed, my wife said, " I feel like I've just spent the weekend at the home of a friend..not at a B & B! You must experience this for yourself...but be prepared, bcuase after staying here, you will NEVER want to stay anywhere else, becuase anywhere else will pale in comparison. NOT enough words to say how GREAT this was ... To our NEW friend Richard ...WELL DONE!

Thank you Richard for providing a wonderful place for a quick get away. The home is beautiful and interesting! We enjoyed just looking at all of your unique antiques and Christmas decorations. Breakfast was delicious. We felt right at home as we needed a quick get away after dealing with flooding at our home!
