Surprised my wife on our way to Yosemite. Mike and Jody go out of their way to accommodate you. On top of that we got served breakfast in our room! Would highly recommend this place to everyone. My wife and I will definitely be coming back.

This B&B indeed offers 'a haven of rest' when staying near the west entrance of Yosemite NP. Mike and Jody do their utmost to make your stay comfortable. The facilities are excellent (never had such soft towels!). Your privacy is guaranteed, but at the same time they will respond immediately if you have a question. We would recommend this B&B to everyone! Sincerely, Herman & Rita (the Netherlands)

My wife and I stayed at this B & B while passing through Yosemite. Mike & Jody the innkeepers were very accommodating. The breakfast are great and the suite could not have been cleaner. And we mean clean. The bed is very comfortable after a longs day hike in Yosemite. There is a nice DVD collection as well as small refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. The bath towels are so thick and soft you get dry just by looking at them. Overall I would stay here again as well as recommend this B & B to anyone.

Overall: Deserves the rave reviews. This is the cure for road-weary travelers tired of bare-minimum lodging and mail-it-in service. Facility: The unit is a suite attached to the owners' residence and consists of a bedroom and separate living room, plus free run of the large back yard and private use of the outdoor heated swim-spa. The decor is homey and welcoming, and the towels (not something I usually remark on) would not be out of place in a 5 star hotel. Location is quite peaceful and quiet; we saw more wildlife (a train of quail, 3 mule deer, 2 duelling hummingbirds, and a few bold squirrels) during breakfast than we did during 3.5 days at Yosemite. Drive to Wawona was 30ish minutes in medium traffic. Amenities: Suite included a mini-fridge, coffee-maker, tea kettle, and complimentary snacks & bottled water. The homemade hot breakfast was huge and left our whole party happily stuffed; one bonus was that the breakfast time was accomodated to our needs. The swim-spa was quite relaxing after a long day of hiking; just be careful not to overheat! The suite also included a huge (probably ~200 titles) library of DVDs & VHS tapes, in case the satellite TV wasn't enough. Wi-Fi worked fine. Service: Upkeep was impeccable, and everything appeared well-maintained. The plush pile carpet did not show any of the stains or wear and tear you often see in places where many people have stayed before you. There was a direct-link intercom to contact the owners with concerns or needs. The owners truly went out of their way to make us feel welcome and even made suggestions about picking up food on our way into Yosemite and provided disposable icepacks to keep that food cold. Value: At $198 for 2 or $228 for 3 people nightly but amenities and service to rival a high-end hotel, I felt this to be a good value and would return in a heartbeat. The only drawback is that the location near Yosemite's South entrance makes it inconvenient as a base for exploring the Valley.

Best B&B I ever stayed in.

I stayed in A haven of rest last weekend & it is without doubt the best B&B I have stayed in. I didn't realize it before I went but there is just one room which is actually a suite (you can see from the photos). It is pretty neat as you are the only guests staying. The hosts are lovely. Jody is very friendly & helpful. The breakfasts are HUGE! - more like a brunch and there is a huge choice. Fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereals, waffles, rashers, eggs, juice etc. We were very full leaving each day. She also leant us a cooler bag to store our lunch in while we were in the park which was really nice of her. (We bought food in the local supermarket and brought a picnic to the park). We ate outside each morning on their patio & Jody served the breakfast. They have a lovely garden. One evening there was a young dear out back which was cool to see. The room / suite is very clean. There is also a selection of classic movies - DVD's & Videos that you can watch. I didn't think we would watch any but restaurants close early in Oakhurst! (like 8/9pm) so we ended up watching one. The B&B Is about a 20 min drive from the south entrance to the park (near the Mariposa Grove). In short, I would definitely recommend staying in a haven of rest. It is a beautiful place to base yourself for a visit to Yosemite.
