    Enjoy an unforgettable stay in our magnificent, brick and brownstone Queen Anne near the center of historic Hanover, Pennsylvania. Built in 1902, the home features numerous stained glass windows, in-laid oak floors and paneling, beamed ceilings, carved mantles, and a bright, airy ambiance. Our gracious home and serene garden provide quiet, cozy private spaces for individuals, or large, open spaces for group events. History abounds here. Cavalries clashed during the Civil War Battle of Hanover on the street in front of our home. Shining Dawn is a magnificent, spacious brick and brownstone Queen Anne Bed and Breakfast located near the center of historic Hanover, Pennsylvania. Built in 1902, the home features numerous stained glass windows, inlaid oak floors and paneling, ceilings with beams, carved limestone and marble mantles, and a bright, airy ambiance. Reserve five guestrooms for maximum privacy (all with private bathrooms) or add a sixth guest room which would share a bathroom with one of the other five guest rooms. Our facility can easily accommodate five to twelve guests for our basic package. Enjoy the Grand Foyer for dancing, the Living Room and Sun Room for socializing, the Meditation Room for quiet reflection and conversations and the Dining Room for full scrumptious Breakfasts served at a time of your group?s choosing. Bottled water, soda, snacks, coffee and tea are available throughout the day. Restaurants are within easy walking distances or short drives. Our basic package rates range from $1,499 to $1,784 for five to six rooms over two nights. Taxes are included. If you have a larger group, our facility can accommodate 13 to 18 guests with special arrangements. Rates are $70 per person per night with a two night minimum during our peak season. One Week Notice: A $25.00 late cancellation fee will be charged against the deposit if cancellation is made with more than six—but less than 14—days advance notice. 48 Hours Notice: A conditional deposit refund minus the $25.00 late cancellation fee will be made if the cancellation is made with more than two—but less than seven— days advance notice and the room(s) can be re-booked for the dates in question. We will make a serious effort but we can't guarantee that the room(s) can be re-booked with such short notice. If the reservations cannot be filled, we reserve the right to retain the full deposit. Less than 48 hours, no-shows, or early departures: This situation is not fair to other prospective guests, nor would it be fair to us.     I was in Hanover for business. The B and B is quite charming, with many original architectural details in place. The hosts were quite helpful and amenable. I would stay there again.

    This home was beautiful and very well maintained. Bruce was a wonderful host and breakfast was a work of art. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

    My husband and another couple visited the Shining Dawn Inn this weekend. The house is beautiful with wonderful, old world details. The facilities are charming with a few modern touches. By far, the best part of our stay was the amazing breakfast. We were served poached pears and pancakes one morning and an amazing eggs the next. Our friend has a gluten allergy which was very kindly accommodated. During the evening, we played games in the Sunroom. I would highly recommend the Shining Dawn Inn. Andy & Meg

    I get up early. Bruce, the proprietor, brought me coffee from the kitchen an hour before the scheduled time.
