General InformationNestled in the Rockies 33 miles west of Denver, the Brook Forest Inn is a grand historic bed-and-breakfast adventure that has been reborn. Originally homesteaded by the Westerfields in 1909 and then taken over in 1913 by the Welzs, the Brook Forest Inn has been completely restored to its original stately structure. With unsurpassed furnishings, antiques, fine art and world-class amenities, the staff at the Brook Forest Inn pays close attention to their guests, pampering them in every way. The Historic Brook Forest Inn, in its early days, was known as the elite destination by many Denverites. They often traveled the thirty-five miles by horse and buggy. Some of the elite included President Theodore Roosevelt, Liberace, the unsinkable Molly Brown and many others. As a result of the many worldly stories, legend has it that there were secret meetings of Nazi gatherings, gold hidden in the walls and ghosts of a stable hand and a chamber maid. There have been many sightings of the ghosts “partying” on the third floor over the years. The current owners uncovered a hidden room during restorations and can also share their own personal ghostly experiences.
