Baked Bananas
Total preparation time: 5 minutes
Serves: 4Ingredients:
- 4 firm bananas
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- pinch salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup flaked coconut
- 1 lemon for zesting
- poppyseeds
- strawberry slices and mint leaves for garnish
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Peel bananas and place in a well greased baking dish. Brush generously with butter
and sprinkle lightly with salt. Sprinkle granulated sugar evenly over bananas, then drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with coconut.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until bananas are tender. Serve with syrup or a desert sauce, if desired. Can be garnished with poppy seed or sliced strawberries or mint leaf for color.
- I will often double this recipe for 8 people.
