General Information Amanda House was built in 1878, in the High Victorian style. Nestled on a quiet street in DOWNTOWN Toronto, Amanda House is open year round.
Our European style Guest House is well served by public transit.

Driving to Toronto via the QEW:
Follow the QEW into Toronto and take the Jarvis Street exit. At the base of the exit at the lights , turn left driving North to Wellesley St. Turn right (east) on Wellesley St., and take the first right onto Homewood.
Driving to Toronto via the 401 Westbound:
Take the Don Valley Parkway South exit to Toronto. Take the Richmond Street exit off the DVP and drive up to Jarvis Street. Turn right (north) on to Jarvis and drive up to Wellesley St. Turn right (east) on Wellesley St., and take the first right onto Homewood.
Driving to Toronto via the 401 Eastbound:
Take the 427 South exit to the Gardiner Expressway. Take the Gardiner Expressway eastbound to Toronto. Use the Jarvis St. exit and take Jarvis North up to Wellesley St. Turn right (east) onto Wellesley, and take the first right onto Homewood. - Nearest major airport: YYZ 20 miles

Arriving from Pearson Airport:
1/ Airport Express is approx. $17.00 one way, or $28.00 round trip when purchased at the same time. After arriving in dowtown Toronto, you should get off at the Delta Chelsea Hotel, and from there a cab ride will cost approx. 8 cad dollars.
2/ A taxi from the airport will cost you approximately $ 50.00.
3/ Public Transit- Look for the directions to the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission ;) and take the 192 Red Rocket to Kipling Subway. Take the east bound train to the Yonge/Bloor station and transfer to the Yonge line, southbound. First station is Wellesley, follow the exit signs onto Wellesley, turn left (East) as you leave the station and follow Wellesley to Homewood, turn right and we are just after the first street. Cost for the TTC is $2.75 exact change per person.
4/ Taxi or Limousine Service- When you walk outside of baggage claim, immediately in front of you will be a line of taxis, and next to them a line of limousines (usually Town Cars). Both cost about $50 CA, but the Limousine service charges a flat fee where a taxi will keep the meter running if traffic is heavy resulting in a much higher charge.
5/ Car- If driving in from the airport, take HWY 427 South to the Gardiner Expressway. Take the Gardiner Expressway East to Toronto. Take the Jarvis Street exit and then drive North to Wellesley St. Turn right on Wellesley St., and take the first right onto Homewood.
