General Information

The bed & breakfast Residence Santa Chiara is an ancient bourgeois house built in the second half of the 16th century, in the historical center of Lucca inside the medieval boundaries. It is located in front of the suggestive gardens of Bottini Villa, once residence of Elisa Bonaparte. From Residence Santa Chiara, you can easily reach all principal historical attractions of the old city in a few minutes and the beautiful sights of Tuscany.
Restructured in January 2006, our house is composed of the main building with all guest rooms. Our rooms dispose of a private bathroom and air-conditioning. At a distance of 80 to 100 mt you will find our separate dependance.
From June to September, guests can enjoy their breakfast buffet in our little garden.

    By Train: If you are arriving by train, you can easily reach us on foot in about ten minutes from the railway station, or alternatively you may take a taxi. If you come on foot, when you are outside of the train station, turn right, keeping the town walls on the left. Enter the town of Lucca through Porta Elisa, then turn right into Via Bacchettoni and then take the first left into Via Brunero Paoli. At the end of the street, on the corner with Via S.Chiara, you will see our Residence. By Car: Exit the highway at Lucca; follow the signs to the centre and the railway station (stazione); from here, keeping the town walls on the left, take the road around the walls and after the first bend, turn to the left and enter Lucca through the white town gate called Porta Elisa. Then turn right into Via Bacchettoni and then take the first left into Via Brunero Paoli. At the end of the street, on the corner with Via S.Chiara, you will see our Residence. By Plane: The Residence provides a taxi service from/to airport at special rates.
