The innkeepers, Gay and Billy, are extremely knowledgeable and think of all the wonderful little touches -- like telling the secret of choosing a ripe mango and knowing it is prudent to take umbrellas for a hike, even when it is sunny.

The Samurai Suite is two guestrooms with a large marble bath equipped with 2-person soaking tub. The master bedroom is an original 10-tatami mat Japanese tearoom with kingsize bed. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds. Both bedrooms has exceptional Hilo Bay views. Watch the cruise ships arrive when you awake or look out over the city lights of Hilo as you retire for the evening. The Bali Hai Suite is very tropical in feeling and consists of the bedroom and a sitting room which can accomodate a total of three guests. Look out at the garden from a comfortable window seat. The private bath features a spa shower.
The Honu's Nest bath has a mosaic tile spa shower and continues the ocean theme of this room which has a garden view. The queen size bed is fitted with Polo linens.Breakfast is served in the large living room/dining room and consists of fresh fruit from the Farmers Market, fresh baked goodies from our kitchen, tropical fruit smoothies and genuine Kona coffee. Served buffet style between 7:30 and 9:00 AM.
