Haili Street is very easy to find whether you are coming from the north or south. The main business district in downtown Hilo is located on Kamehameha Ave. Haili St. is right in the middle of the historic bayfront shops.
We are less than 5 miles from Hilo airport and about 10 minutes from just about anywhere in Hilo. Haili Street is home to the Lyman Museum, the old Palace Theatre, several picturesque churches and less historic sites such as McDonalds and a Sack 'n Save grocery store -- a great spot to provision. - Nearest major airport: ITO 5 miles
- Directions from airport:
Turn right toward Hilo onto Kanoelehua (Hwy 11) as you leave the airport. Go approximately 1 mile and turn left at Ken's House of Pancakes onto Kamehameha Ave (Hwy 19). Stay to the left toward "downtown Hilo" when Hwy 19 splits off to the right. You will see the historic buildings of Bayfront on the left and Hilo Bay on the right. Haili St. is the first left after you enter the downtown business district. Watch for the Lyman Museum sign about midway through Bayfront. This is Haili St. although you won't see a sign until you get a block up the street. Drive up the hill and we are the last house on the left on Haili Street, (465 Haili St.) Enter driveway and turn left into parking area. Call (808) 935-4325 for help or if we are out when you arrive.
